Alessandra was the most amazing host. She greeted us and showed us around the house. She left us a welcome drink and snacks. She provided us with everything we could need from towels to umbrellas. She has a folder with everything you need to know about Varenna, places to eat and visit as well as ferry timetables. She's always on hand if you need anything. The house is very clean and has all the cooking utensils you need as well as a coffee machine. The jacuzzi and rainfall shower were a lovely addition. Great location, 5 star accommodation in the heart of Varenna

While, thanks to Google maps, the apartment was a little difficult to find at first, Alessandra was available immediately by phone to guide me. The apartment is wonderful! A brief walk to either the station, the ferry, or the lakeshore, it has everything I needed, including that fantastic bath tub! Alessandra was extremely helpful and welcoming, and the extra touches like the snacks and drinks make the apartment really stand out. The apartment is spacious, well-decorated, and has great features beyond the tub, including the towel warming rack. But Alessandra is the real gem here. She went above and beyond to make sure the visit was enjoyable, from providing ferry schedules (in a binder with other information) to helping me navigate a train strike! She is someone who truly knows how to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

We liked everything.

The property was in a great area, was super cute, and accommodated a family of five very well. The kitchen was stocked, the beds were comfortable, and we felt extremely safe. The host was spectacular!!

Varenna and Bellagio were the nicest towns we have ever been. Lovely accomodation with Jacuzzi and Netflix everything you can ask for is here. Alessandra our host was very helpful during our stay!

Alessandra is wonderful! She will work hard to make your stay enjoyable. Alessandra has great relations with local restaurants When they found out we were staying at the Blue House we got the best table… seriously, that’s exactly what happened!

the special spa tub one night would not shut off, unable to do so and up for hours trying to figure out, not great instructions offered tablet for washing clothes but no dryer or drying rack,would benefit from drying rack as the courtyard one is not for this apartment kitchen could have used more paper towels or towels let guest know to bring own soap for bathing, soap was size of quarter 1 towel each for a 4 night stay, asked for more, gave us only 1 not 2 address was hard to find, no one we asked could help us, use name of the pizza place it is across from, not "take away" pizza

n/a host left coffee and tea pods, drinks of juice/and a prosecco to welcome us and some treats she checked on us and made dinner reservations for last night unable to great us as family emergency, had local friend help who was not too pleasant but Alessandra was amazing, came next day, met us last day and assisted with luggage, small local gift, she is very responsive Bed comfortable, very clean, obvious owner cares about the place and your experience amazing location, close to everything that is local- restaurants, shops and parking not too far, ferry the other side was less than 10 minute walk

The location of the property was perfect, only a short walk from the ferry terminal and train station. We stayed in Harmony suite and it was clean, fully equipped and met all our needs. Alessandra is a perfect host who has thought of everything, and was always contactable during our stay. She provided us with lots of information before our stay and on check-in, and even made reservations for us before we arrived.

Short walk to piazza , markets and free beach . The train stay was about a 15 min walk , easily done even though a little uphill. We stayed in the Joy suite for 5 nights and it had Everything you could possibly need . Complimentary beer, coffee when we arrived. It is a clean , modern one bed apartment . I would highly recommend ! Alessandra was an excellent host providing us with so much information to make our holiday hassle free. It was a great base to visit the other villages by ferry .

The apartment is beautifully designed and outstandigly clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, as it is ~50 meters from the main square, where there are several restaurants, small grocery stores, and bakeries. The host is unbelievably nice, and I'm not exaggarating! We received very clear instructions regarding everything about the accomodation, many tips about the sights and restaurants in Varenna, and even welcome prosecco and drinks! She very kindly helped us with other things as well. We had everything we needed in the apartment. Overall, we couldn't be more satisfied. We'll be back for sure!

There are some very steep stairs leading to the apartment- not as many as other places but they are challenging to carry suitcases up. Host helped us! Mosquitoes in the courtyard area so bring repellent.

Great location… literally steps from main square and to stairs leading down to the water. Host met us when we arrived. She was in contact with info prior yo our arrival and arranged a taxi for us from The station as we had suitcases. She also made a restaurant booking for us & another taxi booking. The washing machine was great too!

The Blue House, Varenna was in an excellent location, near restaurants and centrally located. The hostess, Alexandra was super helpful, keeping in touch with during our transfer to Varenna, which was slightly more difficult due to the weather. She gave us lots of information and recommendations about good restaurants, and there was a helpful information pack in the apartment about what trips and excursions to do. The apartment was also very well equipped for all our needs.

The instructions to find the location walking from the train station could have been better.

The location and amount of space was excellent. The hostess was very welcoming and provided a book with a great of information about the town and travelling around the lake.

this property is clean, nice, spacious and wonderful!! perfect location, only 7 min walk from train station. sits 1 min from all of the restaurants in the water. right around the corner from the town square and next to a general store and pharmacy. Alessandra, was the best host and made us feel comfortable and special!

Not handicap accessible - neither is most of the town. The town is mostly cobblestones and either up or down hill. If stairs are an issue this is not the property for you as it would not be accessible.

Spacious clean modern apartment with everything thoughtfully designed and laid out. The most comfortable bed in Italy! The windows were excellent at keeping the noise out too. The host was exceptional at addressing all of our needs. Located in the central square of town, steps from everything, shops, restaurants, church, wine shop, the lake, villas to visit. 5 min walk to the ferry along the lake. Washing machine available.
