1. No gym. Luxury Hotel w/o gym is like Venice without water.. 2. Overall staff very young and not senior managers overseeing operations. 3. Hotel owned by Founders of Fashion , but no experience with hospitality. You can see a lot of flaws in the operations and staff. 4. Breakfast absolutely not worthy. (65 euro per head is overpriced) 5. I suggest the owners to spend some time at bulgari hotel properties and learn from them.

Location and property itself was stunning! Arrived there and organized a surprise birthday get together for my partner and the staff were incredibly accommodating! My partner was stunned by the hotel and it’s incredible staff. it is the only way he want to come back to Venice again!

Lightning design must be emulating candles. Everything is really DARK. The spot to tap to unlock the door was invisible on the black door frame. I had to use my camera flashlight to see it and also to go up the stairs for the restroom. Dim light in the room and no hair dryer or makeup mirror was a surprise for such an expensive hotel. Whoever designed the electrical in the room was crazy. Lots of levers that don’t seem to work to turn lights on and off. Even the maintenance man shrugged!

A few more days would have been perfect!!

Just wow.. staying in Venice Venice Hotel is one of the absolute best hospitality experiences of our life. It was like this cosy sophisticated and seductive place was competing with the Venice itself. It was honestly hard to leave it to go see Venice! We ended up having our breakfast (on a cute private deck on the Grand Canal), 'aperitivos' and dinners in the hotel the whole stay. Our mesmerising room took our breath away when we walked in. It overlooked the canal with a private balcony... every detail in our space was meticulously studied and encompassed the very essence of refined, contemporary aesthetics. We were surrounded by subtle art and unique design. The service was luxurious.. every person of staff we came in contact with emanated readiness to help, good naturedness, responsibility, enthusiasm and warmth. We were taken care of from the beginning till the very last moment with an exceptional care that made us feel like we were or the most important guests, or.. their only guests. Now THAT is what true luxury feels like.

The price was too high considering the spa wasn’t functioning and there is no gym or health facility…also felt that the restaurant was overly expensive…

This hotel has drawbacks any traveller should be aware of. 1- There is a steep staircase to enter/leave the level where the hotel reception is. Obviously if one comes with heavy luggage, this is a problem. There is no indication of where to go for a porter or a lift. I entered through the adjacent store and was taken by an indifferent store clerk up and down some dark stairs to a lift. A disappointing first impression 2- Once in the room, which was large, there is no desk. Everyone travels with a laptop and work is often done at the same time as leisure pursuits today, even in Venice. A large plastic bucket-like container occupied some of the room. A large bathtub was also in the room. But no workspace 3- There is a lot of hard plastic in the room: coat hangers, the strange container, bathroom accessories. Talking of which, the soap containers (in a can) are too large for a couple of days' stay and are topped with a strange plastic cover which does not fit the can once the can has been opened. So I suspect a lot of soap/shampoo is wasted. Today's luxury hospitality is all about minimising the impact of the traveller on the environment 4- There is no make up mirror in the room. The lighting is not appropriate for applying make up. Inexplicable this day and age 5- Breakfast is on the grand canal which is fine (beware that there is a lot of trade traffic in the morning so be prepared to breathe diesel fumes). If breakfast is not included in the rate, it's not worth taking it. Fruit was tasteless, choices are limited. Breakfast is not a strength in Italy anyway. Do it like the Italians, take a light breakfast at a pasticceria and book yourself some light lunch elsewhere. The recommendations for restaurants were strange - with very low Tripadvisor ratings, not sure why these were recommended 6- I had just returned from Asia where rooms and service were of a different league.

A large room with great bedding. Room temperature was comfortable. Wi-fi worked well. Una grande camera con ottima biancheria da letto. La temperatura della stanza era confortevole. La connessione Wi-Fi funzionava bene.
