Some fresh milk left in the fridge to go with the tea and coffee in the room. We sometimes found the tea cups were not cleaned after use when housekeeping had been. The cushions on the terrace seats could be checked… ours were very wet (appreciate it had rained) but have seen better days … small things that could just add to a perfect stay.

The views were superb and it felt like a Sanctuary! Grounds were pretty and inviting so when you wanted a quiet sit, it was there. Attention to detail in many areas and nothing was too much trouble. The shuttle service is a huge benefit and made getting into Sorrento easy… and at no cost! You can hear noise from other rooms but a small price to pay for us being able to enjoy our stay away from the busy town and in a relaxing location. Would definitely recommend. Our favourite place to stay in the whole world! It is like coming home. Beautiful little pool. Gorgeous location/ views and we simply would never stay anywhere else! The ceiling shower head was mouldy and there wasn’t any cutlery

The staff, location, breakfast, and shuttle service was so incredible I extended my stay there by 6 days. It was perfect to spend the day there reading or getting into Sorrento to take day trips to Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii and Capri. There was a cooking class with the Daniela’s available for extra that was also incredible and comes highly recommended! The amenities were great and only wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you!

Fabulous location in the hills above Sorrento. Gorgeous sunsets over Isle of Capri. Very relaxing setting with wonderful foliage, garden, flowers, trees. We got to know other renters while sitting outside. It is located high above Sorrento but the Villa Giovanna has its own shuttle bus to get you back and forth. Laura is a wonderful host and would stay again

Everything was perfect

Gorgeous boutique hotel in the hills of Sorrento. Clear view of the ocean from my room. Gorgeous gardens filled with resting chairs to admire the view. Room was modern, clean, well equipped and quiet. Every single member of the staff was friendly and helpful. Giovani and Laura were amazing. Outstanding breakfast (you can order eggs, bruschetta etc.) The hotel offers a free transfer service to the city. In the last day, I had to leave early in the morning to catch a bus to Naples. This was way before the regular hours of the hotel transfer. Laura arranged for Giovanni to bring me to the bus station at 5:30 am so I didn’t have to pay for a cab. It is an unforgettable experience, and I hope to visit Villa Giovanna again one day.

It would have been nice (and more hygienic) if proper quilt covers were used instead of quilts just being placed on top of an extra bedsheet. It would also be appreciable to have some bottled water provided in the room (given that it has fridge) as well as some selection of teabags (we only had 1 or 2 there and had to grab some from breakfast room instead).

The room was quite spacious and had a great view from the window. The garden is a great place to sit (unfortunately during our stay the weather was too cold to do it for too long). It is a nice escape from a hustle and bustle of the city of Sorrento, yet it is quite close + there is a shuttle available on demand a couple of times throughout the day (we did not use it as we have had our own car though).

Perfect location with a nice view over the area, the sunset and the ocean. Breakfast served in the garden :-) Very good. The staff was amazing - super and helpful 24/7 - they offered a shuttelbus to and from Sorrento city-center which was very convinient. We often chose to walk down to the city since it was a very nice 15 min walk with an amazing view.

This is a quiet and elegant villa located halfway up the mountain. The facilities are complete and the breakfast is rich and colorful. Laura and all the staff are professional and welcoming. Living here is like living at home. I highly recommend it if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is a free shuttle bus to the old town, which is very thoughtful. I will come again next time! Thank you Laura!

We booked for 4 nights and the room was a bit smaller than expected. The wardrobe had three hangers for two guests and there wasn't enough space to put suitcases or hang towels. For some reason we had tea but no coffee or milk in the room during the full stay

Loved the friendly, family run atmosphere and helpful staff. Great to have a bar and a few dinner options in the evening to make the most of the gardens. Good choice at breakfast. Peaceful location away from crowds and easily reachable on foot or by hourly shuttle. Would have stayed an extra night had there been space. Thank you for a warm welcome to Sorrento, we’ll be back.

- views were beautiful - breakfast was excellent and we took our fruit and another coffee out to the garden to enjoy the views. - shuttle bus was regular to take you into town. It would be difficult without that. We are both fit but the walk uphill is steep and would be unpleasant a couple of times a day. - lovely room with great shower and patio area. - the staff were so helpful especially the bus drivers and the lovely lady at breakfast.

Firstly, the staff at Villa Giovanna was AMAZING. Laura was so kind and accommodating, and she took care of all of our needs throughout this vacation. The shuttle service was a blessing because taxis are expensive and hard to find in Sorrento, so you are really getting your money's worth with this stay. We were able to come and go at our leisure throughout our entire vacation without any hitches. Secondly, the property was perfect. The grounds were stunning, with views of Sorrento just steps away. It was so peaceful and well cared for. Finally, the breakfast was lovely! I will be back to Sorrento just to stay here again. Highly suggest!!
