Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyWe have enjoyed our stay at Dar Chrif Idrissi. Its located in the heart of Medina. The rooms are small but clean. Terrace has wonderful view. Breakfast is amazing! We want to thank our host again, for his wonderful help and guidance. Upon arrival, he met us, helped with luggage and guided us through Medinas labirynths. Without his help we would have been lost. He was also very kind to provide all information about the city and restaurants. We had to leave to the airport at 3AM, he organized the travel, helped us with the luggage again and took us to the driver. It was very much appreciated and again, without him we would have totally been lost. (Medina is not safe during the day, imagine at night hours!!!) thank you very much and we would absolutely return again!

United Arab EmiratesI was leaving at 6 am on Friday, it was rainy… and staff just opened the main door for me but didn’t even help/offer to help to get to the taxi… as he did when I arrived and met me near Medina, to escort to the place.
Location is great, very nice design and vibe! In the middle of Medina with lots of shops and small local cafes. Overall, just for experience is nice to stay in riad for 1 night, but not more. As there is no window and fresh air and it might be difficult to handle for some people.

SpainFor those who mention the smell of the drain of the toilet, it is true. But this is part of the adventure of sleeping into the old medina. Darkness is also part of riads, but there is a nice roof where you can get light and amazing views
Abdennabi (old manager) and Mohammed (new manager) make my stay in this riad very special. Nice and warm people, always willing to help and make your stay grateful. Thank you both! The riad is small and simple, but clean and comfortable, close to one of the gates. Matalas and pillows are very comfortable

United KingdomA charming Guest House in a great location in the historical medina. It is in a good location to access main meeting points and places in the city, and the terrace is a lovely feature from where you can see across the rooftops. It is clean and tidy, with en-suite bathrooms and a traditional, fresh breakfast. The hospitality was exceptional; Abdennabi was responsive and helpful both before my arrival and during my stay, answering any questions and ensuring I felt safe. The city is lively and authentic and the medina is an exciting, maze-like experience! I definitely recommend this place - I couldn't have hoped for a better stay in Fes

CroatiaNothing perticular about the hotel itself.
The staff were very kind and friendly. Especially our host Abdennabi, who made us feel at home at every moment of our stay. He was there to help us with all our needs and requests, and he recommended us the locations we should visit and gave us a lot of useful advice on how to conduct ourselves in Fes and Morocco in general. As the hotel itself, it was very cosy and comfortable. Our experience was enhanced by the traditional style of the hotel, and the terrace is definitely the highlight. Everyday we had our breakfast there and in the evening we would drink a warm cup of tea made by our host Abdennabi. A big recommendation!

GreeceThe stairs were very strip.... If you have problems with your back or knees I would not recommend it.
The place was wonderful. The terrace in the roof is magnificent! You get a view of the whole Medina. The rooms were nice and clean also. Still what made our stay amazing was the help of Abdennabi who came to pick us up from the nearest gate, was available 24/7 to answer every possible question and give the best solution, arranged a taxi for us to leave and accompanied us once more.

IndiaToo many steps but it was a good workout after all the yummy tajines.
I liked the location. For me it was very convenient to find and manage my stay in Fes. Its near Place Safferine, close to Bab Rcif, al Attarine and the souks. Staff- both Yousef and Khadija ensure a great stay. They are both kind hearted souls and treated me like family. As a solo traveler, i was deeply comforted by their presence and how well they treated me. Khadija makes brilliant local dishes. Try them for sure. Ask Yousef for tour ideas in Fes and outside. He is knowledgeable in travel.

I cannot recommend DAR Cherif Idrissi enough! My partner and I recently spent two enchanting nights at this hidden gem nestled in the heart of the old medina. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the exceptional host, Abdennabi. His flawless English and profound knowledge of the city's heritage, history, and local culture left us in awe. Abdennabi went above and beyond to provide us with invaluable advice, and his perpetual smile made us feel truly welcomed. It's not every day that you encounter a host as remarkable as Abdennabi. Don't miss out on this extraordinary experience! Now, let's talk about the location. DAR Cherif Idrissi is a true oasis in the heart of the old medina, boasting exquisite Moroccan decor that immerses you in the rich heritage of the city. The guest house's highlight is undoubtedly its breathtaking terrace, offering panoramic views that will take your breath away. The mornings here were an absolute delight, with a sumptuous breakfast spread that perfectly complements the beauty of the surroundings. Special thanks must also go to Mi Khadija, the wonderful cook at the guest house, who always greeted us with a warm smile and ensured our mornings started on the right note. RomaniaThe smell coming from sink, shower drain. The shower size is very small for a 1.93 guy, the bathroom door is sooo small but that is usual in Morocco.
Ismail, the host, is very friendly and helpful. The place is really clean, terrace has good view of the city. Quite quiet. Breakfast basic but good, it's not buffet, it is cooked for individual person. Small portion.
