Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe liked everything about this place. This Riad is amazingly beautiful. Our room clean and spacious was facing the pool on the ground floor. Location was great, as just outside the Medina. Good breakfast and very good and friendly staff.

SpainThe room, we stayed in was super small (barely had no space around the bed). It is doable for a short stay. Bathroom was outside of the room, though it was only for private use.
Good, central location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Traditional Moroccan breakfast was appetizing. The riad itself was quiet.

United KingdomThe Riad is really beautiful and is really well maintained and a short walk to the Medina. The staff is very friendly and we felt at home. Touria was very attentive and organised and we enjoyed Samira’s food every night, it was the best food we had in Morocco! Our family had a fun time doing the cooking class in the kitchen!

BelgiumWe were there for a few nights around Near Year's and the nights were cold. These charming riads don’t seem to be at all adapted for winter temperatures around 5-7 degrees C (windows/ door not isolated etc). And unfortunately we came around 8pm on the first night, had dinner outside (they had an outside heater but it was still quite chilly) and realised late in the evening that the reversible A/C was not working properly. We asked for a mobile electric heater but they didn’t have any left so we spent a very chilly and uncomfortable night. Our daughter had a bad cold that went worse and we had to go to hospital/emergency for antibiotics. But they recommended a Clinique which was really smooth and they fixed the A/c and gave us an extra heater and after that all was well. We appreciated their efforts, a pity it wasn’t solved from the 1st night. They should have a policy to warm up the rooms when people arrive late.
It is a very charming riad, with beautifully, traditionally decorated rooms, patio and a lovely terrace. The breakfast is homemade (fresh orange juice, fried eggs and fresh breads/ cakes) and very yummy. We had the large room in the patio which has a very comfortable king size bed and even the two single beds have comfortable mattresses (even if a bit narrow, but ok for kids). We also had dinner there on the day we arrived and it was very nice and good value for money. The day and the night managers were very accommodating with our requests and very helpful with parking (which is 5min walk away as the riad is in Medina but they have an arrangement with a nearby hotel) and requests.

United StatesA wonderful location! We communicated with the Riad that we will need an airport transfer and we were coming after 22:30 - they rearranged everything with no issue. Samir and his staff are very nice. Our room was very clean and cozy. The breakfast here is excellent and the location is great. I would definitely recommend i.

United StatesNothing stood out as a negative - for US travelers, it’s helpful to bear in mind that this is a property with much history and should be respected.
Zaidi Samir, the manager, made sure we were well take care of for our entire (albeit brief!) stay. He reached out before our arrival and helped us arrange for a seamless arrival to the riad. Upon arrival, Samir received us with the utmost hospitality and accommodation - even though we were on a very tight timeline as we had an appointment for soon after our check in! Seeing how short our stay was, he offered to help set us up with a guide for the next day and transport to the train station for our departure. Everything was as Samir promised - our guide, Mohammed, was everything we could’ve hoped for. Prompt, informative, warm & ever the professional - we learned so much from him in just one morning, and wish we had more time. The breakfast was freshly made and delicious. The view of the courtyard pool alongside the decadent traditional furnishings made for a luxurious morning experience For first-time visitors, it’s helpful to note that you’ll need to be let in for entry to the riad. It made our stay feel much more secure.

United KingdomOur stay at Riad Fes Baraka exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have asked for more from Samir and the team. Samir was an excellent host and arranged activities for our stay, we would fully recommend a tour of Fez with Mohammed if you get the opportunity. The breakfast and facilities at the riad were great and would recommend staying here if you are in Fes.

United StatesWe had the best stay at this riad! The hosts were so kind and in communication with us well before our arrival. Parking was very easy and the host met us to walk us the rest of the way to the riad. The room was beautiful and very clean. Dinner was great as well. The hosts were kind enought to arrange us a guide for our day in Fez and they couldn't have chosen a better person; we had the absolute best day!! Great location close to taxis and waking to the medina. We had the best stay and would definitely return!

United KingdomThis is not a criticism at all and we knew the set up before we arrived but having our bathroom across the landing was tricky for me, just because I am not steady on my feet and negotiating a series of little down and up steps in the middle of the night was interesting lol!
This Riad is just lovely. A real hidden gem. The calm courtyard with the pool and beautiful architecture was a joy. Our room was warm and inviting and the bed was really comfy. Plenty of space to relax. The staff were so lovely, even making us a picnic breakfast when we had to leave early to get a coach to Chefchaouen. The food was great anyway! We had dinner there the first night and it was delicious. I've also started putting cumin on my eggs at home so a little part of this enchanting place has now rubbed off in Devon!!
