Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

There is a lovely atmosphere to this Riad. It feels just like a new home and the team there are brilliant. Delicious breakfasts with views over the city were a highlight and I would advise the walking tour.

GermanyThe only tiny disadvantage is that if you are in one of the rooms that are directly facing the open middle space, you could hear other guests when they arrive or have breakfast early, but people were rather considerate and quiet so it was really okay.
The architecture is simply impressive, it’s a truly beautiful place to every last detail. The Riad is an oasis in the charming city. The room was wide and tastefully decorated, the light is perfect, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is wide and comfortable. But what makes the stay in this Riad especially pleasant are the wonderful people who took care of us, Hamid is a charming and extremely hospitable person with a permanent smile on his face. He made us feel comfortable and welcome and helped us in every way he could. It was a pleasure to meet him and talk to him. Also the lady who prepared the fresh and crispy bread had made the lovely breakfast is so kind and sweet, she prepared tea for my husband who was ill when we arrived. All in all this was the best Riad in our Morocco stay and I definitely recommend it.

Very nice traditional Riad in Fes. Best Riad breakfest I have had Marocco. Roof terrace gives amazing view over old city. The room was high and spacious. Riad host Hamid did everything to make my staying at Riad as good as possible.

United StatesWith that said, the place is a bit short staffed so check-in may take awhile if many guests arrive at the same time.
The center court is gorgeous and the riad is located close to fantastic Moroccan restaurants. Meanwhile, the narrow alleyways you have to navigate to reach the riad are absolutely magical. This place is oozing with charm.

IndiaThe Riad is located in a small narrow lane so you can get lost if you try to find it yourself.
Probably our best Riad stay in Morocco. Hamid (I hope it's the correct name!) came to pick us up from our car and take us to the Riad. The courtyard was just beautiful and a delight to look at. The rooms and beds were HUGE! Didn't feel like waking up, it was so comfortable. Lovely breakfast spread as well. They also arranged a private tour guide for us, Yusuf, who was amazing as well. 5 stars to Hamid for being such a gracious host.

United KingdomThe room is huge with a little air conditioner. In Feb, have to say it’s cold… Booking showed this place can print, so I asked for help printing my boarding pass. They just say yes and not mention anything. When I back, they asked 10 MAD for print… finally I got money back. It’s not a big money but it’s uncomfortable to know after printing rather than letting you know in advance. Also they ask a positive review…
It’s easy to find, and not far with the Bab Boujloud. The building is very pretty and there is a brilliant terrace. Breakfast is from 8:30, but if you have requirements, they can arrange earlier.

NetherlandsThere was nothing not to like.
This riad is a hidden gem. Hamid and Fatima welcome you with all the friendliness you can imagine. The riad is absolutely stunning and although located in the medina, it’s really easy to find, cause it’s close to the blue gate, which everyone uses as the main focus point. The rooms are super spacious and very clean. Fatima makes sure they are. She also makes you an amazing breakfast, which Hamid serves on the sunny roof terrace with a nice view over the Medina of Fes and the mountains surrounding it. Hamid is also always ready to help you in every way he can. Riad Soultana feels like a home away from home. Because it’s few rooms, you don’t feel Ike a number, but as a valued guest.

Location - the location is actually prime but would need the staff of riad Soultana to pick us up at blue gate to walk us there. Luckily our driver called directly and when the car pulled up to blue gate, the staff was waiting. Google map might indicate a fairly straight forward walk, but I would get the staff to lead the way. Once you figured out the landmarks/shops for the turn, then the location was really easy to navigate in and out. A lot of food options around! Wonderful buzzy neighborhood. But location of riad is in quiet street. Not noisy. Beautiful beautiful Riad. I stayed in 4 Riads while in Morocco, and Soultana I ranked number 1 :) The size of the room was amazing! We were given three rooms to choose, and we picked the room at top floor. We got the rooftop almost all to ourselves. Those who hates stairs should stick to ground floor rooms (or second floor) those room sizes are amazing too. Great value for monies!
