We traveled through Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, and Montenegro. The MAŽIJANIK Hotel was by far the best accommodation on the entire trip. The family-run business impresses with unbeatable hospitality and helpfulness. Nikola and his family always go the extra mile to ensure that no single need remains unmet. Here, you are not just a guest, you feel at home. The entire house has been renovated and lovingly furnished with lots of charm. The materials used are of very high quality and the comfort in the rooms leaves nothing to be desired. The entire property is very clean and quiet. The breakfast is very diverse and always includes homemade local specialties. The price-performance ratio is unmatched in the entire Balkans. Nothing. Although there's not much in Niksic itself, it is an interesting and historical place and we wished we could have stayed longer to explore and relax.

If you are passing through Niksic, this family-run, super-friendly hotel is a great place for a stopover. Our host couldn't have been more helpful or kind, plus her English is superb so she was able to offer us lots of advice about travelling in Montenegro. The rooms are really spacious and clean with modern facilities and a great breakfast. This place has a very welcoming personal touch and we were very appreciative of our host's offer to be a point of contact whilst we were in the country if we needed any help or got stuck. Highly recommended.

There is no kitchenette in the room, but the breakfast was excellent and we also saw a menu on the table, so I believe you can request additional meals for a fee, of course, as well. The place is near local restaurants and bars so if you like local food this is an opportunity we like less

The owner of the place is charming, kind, always smiling and did everything to make our stay special and enjoyable. Every morning she spoiled us with the delicacies we asked for, including a warm croissant from the nearby bakery. Also, her employee, whose name I don't remember, served us with kindness and a smile. We really loved our stay. The room was lovely and the stay was amazing.

The hotel is new and nicely designed. Your are not far from the city center but it is a very quiet location. And the owner and the personal are very nice and helpful. We had a room upgrade and a very good breakfast and interesting discussion. The beds and sheets were just great. It is a good location to explore the lakes and Ostrog and a lot of places around Nikšić. Should we come back to Montenegro, we will then come back this very nice hotel.

Too hard to say goodbye

It was an amazing experience to stay at Hotel Mazijanik. We were planning our trip from Kotor to Zabljak and decided to stay one night in Niksic near the Ostrog Monastry. It turned out to be our best stay out of the 5 hotels we stayed at in Montenegro. Our hosts Nikola and Dragana gave us a warm welcome at their new and modern boutique hotel. Nicola drove us up and down the city centre for dinner, no taxi needed. Food in Niksic is much much cheaper than anywhere else in Montenegro. The only downside is the location in a residential area. But positive part of this is the silence and peacefulness at night. The Richmond boxspring beds were amazingly comfortable, even better than our own beds at home. We slept like babies! Wish we can order these in the Netherlands. The next morning we enjoyed a great breakfast on their new terrace outside. Best hospitality you can get in Montenegro. Definitely recommend you to experience the hospitality of this hidden gem.

The location was peaceful and quiet. The room and the whole building was very tidy and new. The hosts were really helpful and friendly. They made sure our stay was perfect. The breakfast was incredible. The menu by default didn't include a lot of vegetarian options, but they arranged it for us when we asked. The breakfast was perfect. We also got great recommendations from the host where to visit in Niksic. Thank you so much for the hosts. We highly recommend this place for anyone.

No words can describe our stay here - it was absolutely amazing!! we arrived having a flat tire and arguing with the rental car company - it was very traumatic experience, then we arrived to the hotel and Nikola and his entire staff took us in and treated us like family ! I’ve never experienced anything like this and I’ve traveled all over the world ! The hotel was completely new, food was delicious and they went out of their way to cater to our every need ! Perfect place. We stayed for a week and went on day trips from Niksic. The hosts are absolutely lovely and really made us feel at home. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was great, and is made per your request each day. There's free parking is on the property. Bonus point - the hotel owners have a restaurant in the city center, so we could order in on rainy days when no delivery service was available. You can also get a discount for parking in the city center through the hotel. Honestly a great experience, perfect hotel to stay in for a few days.

We arrived the hotel with another couple After landing in Tivat airport. The moment we arrived the hotel, we immediately felt that this was going to be a truly unique stay. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with apple juice and beers, invited to sit down, and waited just a few minutes for the hostess who manages this family-run hotel. This new boutique hotel, furnished with modern, tasteful, and meticulous design. very high level of cleanliness. located in a quiet neighborhood with organized parking. From the very first moment we met the lovely hostess named DRAGANA, we knew we were standing before a charming, warm, interesting and welcoming woman who treated us with such kindness that we instantly felt like guests in her own home. She was very helpful with any information we needed. she gave us tips for the road ahead and even made inquiries for us regarding blocked routes and helped us plan our journey efficiently. Breakfast was rich and indulgent, with various options and each of us received a personal serving of a delicious Israeli salad. In summary, our stay there was nothing short of perfect - and even beyond expectations. The combination of the beautiful, carefully designed place and the wonderful hostess who moved us so deeply-a truly exceptional person - made our stay there extraordinary. After a long travel day, we arrived at the hotel for our first night in Montenegro — a family, three couples, one with a baby. The rooms were clean and comfortable, just as we had hoped. But what truly made our stay special was the warm and generous hospitality of Dragana and her husband. From a last-minute dinner, to a great breakfast, helpful travel tips, and kind assistance with our baby — everything was handled with care and a smile. A truly pleasant start to our trip — we left with a great feeling. For us, it was a 10!
