Wonderful old house full of art and interesting things. Comfortable beds, warm rooms and spotless bathroom. Lovely breakfast - muesli, eggs, avocado and salmon (we don’t eat bacon) and superb coffee. Hosts were welcoming and helpful.

Nothing - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast was great - generous and perfectly cooked. WE loved the unique character and history of the building, and we really enjoyed meeting our three hosts - Geoff ( the human), Ginge ( the cat), and Rufus (the dog), all of whom were very friendly, hospitable and attentive. We are now working on an excuse to come back.

Fantastic place to stay! This is like a home away from home. Beautiful linen on the beds, warm comfortable room with lots of thoughtful extra touches.Exceptional actually! Jeff was a great host, made me feel so welcome. Breakfast was delicious. You will not be disappointed staying here..10/10 Will definitely be back! If you appreciate art and character this is the place for you.

There was only a sheer curtain in our bedroom which let the light in in the morning and it did not provide privacy.

Geoff made a great cooked breakfast. He was very accommodating with any requests.

June and Geoff are wonderful hosts. The inn is packed with wonderful art and while it is their home you are welcomed and made to feel totally at home. Geoff was friendly and helpful, recommending a local restaurant (which was excellent) and driving us there when it rained.

Unique accommodation located close to township, a great stop-over during the long Wellington to Northland journey. Room and ensuite bathroom exceptionally clean and comfortable with top quality linens. Lovely bedside chocolate was delightful touch. Jeff's wonderful cooked breakfast including freshly squeezed juice and the most crispy bacon ever in front of log fire will be memorable.

Excellent location. We could walk into the town. Lovely clean linen, in fact everything was very clean and the breakfast was great. Wonderful art and interesting objects dotted around. We could have stayed for days and seen something different!

Genial hosts, a pleasant room ang a good bacon and eggs breakfast. Positioned in a quiet street a little distance from the town centre necessitating driving to the restaurants for a meal. An excellent place to stay if planning a trip on the Forgotten World Highway.

Continental breakfast was very generous and great....Loved the location because it was quiet and an easy walk to town using the track at the end of the street. Their magnificent art collection added interest to this wonderful old building that is being loving cared for.

character house with interesting history. comfortable bed, excellent shower, lovely owners, great art but best of all is exceptional breakfast.. quality muesli and yoghurt, bacon and eggs, salmon, capers and cream cheese, flat white coffee, fresh orange juice. the owners have thought of every detail to make guest stay comfortable. A delightful experience.

Little out of centre but local pub/restaurant- Rusty Nail offers free pick up/drop home so don't be put off. It really is superb b & b.
