There were not many bad things in this place, but it had some specific things, for example what I did not like was that there were no plugs in the beds that were upstairs, also that sometimes the forks disappeared, on the 3rd floor the bathroom faucet was defective and on the 6th floor the sink was clogged with a lot of water, the cleaning sometimes in the bathrooms was not very good, but it was enough, and the device where you put the toilet paper fell every second because it was broken. Anyway, but overall I thought it was very good, I would stay there again.

the attention of the staff was very good, especially nick, who helped me a lot in my stay, also another young man with long hair I do not remember the name, the kitchen was spacious you could cook well equipped, had a movie room that I loved, a game room, in short, the third floor was very spacious. I also like that the rooms have windows to facilitate ventilation.

Slept near the heavy fire door so it was loud with everyone going in and out despite booking a solo room.

Nothing. It ticked all my boxes.

All the facilities were available. They had a common kitchen and dining area. They had a separate leisure area at the 3rd floor which had a theatre setup and quiet room and a nice balcony for fresh air. The most important is the close proximity to everything in the CBD. The team were helpful and friendly.

Just left United Auckland. It's new, clean and they are still setting up more cool stuff like a cinema! Even with the soft launch vibe, it's top-notch. Staff is awesome! really makes me feel at home. Perfect spot for me who just arrived in Auckland!

I did not feel safe during my stay. There was a guy stopping who was drunk and disorderly and set off the fire alarm for the whole building but was allowed to stay?! The bed was uncomfy and kept sliding away from the wall. The solo rooms could do with a desk and a chair rather than a broken beanbag.

The view and the social areas

Great room, comfy bed. Could use much more storage though. There are only a few hooks. Cleaning available everyday. A/C. About bathrooms, no hand papers/towel to dry your hands. We requested some at the reception, they said they will handle it but nothing happened during the week of our stay. Only 2 showers and 1 toilet available per floor and per gender, which is really not a lot but because there were almost no people during our stay, it was fine for us. Common areas on the ground and 3rd floor. Could use some music, very cold atmosphere. Lack of stickers to label your food in the fridges, there was some mold. Cheap equipment, won't last long. Basic gear. Many things are missing. Instant coffee and tea bags with sugar at disposal. But no recycling bins! And that's a no-go in 2024, come on guys! You can find a library, a cinema room, a game room and a balcony on the 3rd floor. Very cheap equipped as well. No towel to dry cups. Laundry available with tokens from the reception (signs should be updated btw). 2$/token. The inside of the washing machines were really gross (see picture). About the reception, people are probably still in training as they just re-opened. They were very friendly and trying to help but might use some more hospitality training as well as English lessons. There is potential though so keep on trying.
