How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

would like Netflix app on tv
the location was great and having a pool was awesome especially with the hot weather. the staff were very friendly and accommodating. the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable.

This motel was advertised as pet friendly but only have two rooms where pets are allowed. I had the option to upgrade to double price or cancel with no refund.
Location, communal kitchen/ lounge, outdoor area, gardens. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful.

There is a bit of traffic sound from the motorway but that is just the nature of central Warkworth and the ease of walking to the river and restaurants more than made up for it. I did have some more late-night coughing neighbours and could hear through the walls and got some sound from the shower fan/extractor. The three rooms in the villa are quite close and you could have 6 people sharing one bathroom if all the rooms were fully occupied - the downstairs suites looked amazing. Everything was very clean and well looked after, the vents in the bathroom needed a little TLC.
Michelle was very helpful, and accommodating and had great local knowledge. The building itself is very elegant and interesting with well-planned kitchen facilities and I enjoyed the swimming pool. My room was upgraded and I had a good view and a very pleasant room. Great to see coffee plungers and fair trade products. Excellent location - even walkable with a wheeled suitcase to the bus station. A very comfortable lounge area too and it was very helpful to be able to arrive a little early and wait in the lounge before my bus on leaving. Very good wifi.

Furnishings a bit worn, curtain on ranchslider short on one side and materials didn't match. Swimming pool closed for repairs, it would be good to know in advance.

I didn't like the fact that I hadn't been notified before I paid the full price that the pool was closed . I was there on purpose for it and I couldn"t not use it. I was staying upstairs and it's pretty noisy with cars and I could hear the person snoring next door..

No staff on site to handle a query we had at 7.30am when we couldn't access main building with our key. Wifi was kept on dropping out. Room was largely clean but when sofa bed was pulled out it was evident that underneath it had not been cleaned in a while with debris on the floor.
Good location. Booking was super easy. Staff were very polite and helpful. Studio room had all the basic amenities that one need. Spa pool was nice. Gorgeous communal room in the main building.

Great place to stay with welcoming staff and an ideal location. The pool would be great in summer but we enjoyed the jacuzzi on our spring trip. Lovely outdoor area to relax in and shared lounge. The shared kitchen is absolutely beautiful and fully equipped. Our two bedroom suite was spacious and had everything a family could need. The beds were very comfortable and despite the motel being by a main road we didn’t notice any noise at night. Highly recommend!

Our room was close to Main Street traffic made it hard to sleep at night with traffic
The lady at reception was wonderful and provided us with great hospitality The lodge is within walking distance to everything you need ie town centre, supermarket, shopping, restaurants and a fish n chips store too Enjoyed the communal areas ie kitchen and lounge areas

The room was very small & so was the bathroom. There was a lot of road noise in the room we were in. We have stayed before - in a different room & it wasn't as noisy as this one :(
The communal lounge & kitchen facilities were a welcome surprise. A great space to unwind. Reception staff very friendly, and great that our dog could stay too.
