Orders for lunch and dinner took time because they only cooked when you ordered. If not available Wait would sometimes be an hour. Amenities in the room were not always complete. We had to ask for shampoo, water, toilet paper. TV not available. Internet spotty.

Breakfast was good. Our room inside the main building had a nice soft bed and pillows, fresh new towels. Owner and staff very amicable and fulfilled requests as fast as possible.

the pool was being treated so the kids couldn’t use but this is a problem for any outside pool when you have to shock dose with chlorine but we had use of the beach so no biggie!

it was set on the peninsula at Padre Burgos, a beautiful beach (if a little rocky) with stunning views across the bay towards Southern Leyte and Langkawa island. rooms were spacious with plenty of outlets for charging electronics.

Really nice resort at a beautiful place. I do not agree with other comments about the (high) prices for food. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent.

Kid's Food should be included in their menu especially Breakfast. It was frustrating to know that there was no WIFI connection and that rooms are dead spots for internet. Rooms and especially the bathrooms have poor lighting brightness.

We like the staff, excellent service. Breakfast choices were good Filipino menus. Rooms and Bed Linens were clean and comfortable. Day activities were offered for a day or two and options on how to enjoy the stay.

worst experience ever! first, the toilet was dirty with lots of hair, we had to clean it for ourselves. the room was smelly. Second, the location is so remote, you don’t have shops close to or any restaurant. We did the whale shark tour private with them (be careful as it depends on demand) and we saw one baby whale shark and was all the time the fisherman close to the whale shark (not 3m, not even 20 cm), we paid a private tour and in all the video you can see the fisherman with the whale shark, not even a second with the whale shark alone), we didn’t understand that as this guy can see them all the time and take photos and we had just this chance and of course we paid a lot of money), the food in the tour was so poor. And, we got the worst experience because of the OWNER, she’s so rude and arrogant, we feel for that poor girls have to work for her as we can see how she treat them as her servers. When we had to leave their machine didn’t work, here ir started the show! They accused us to don’t want to pay (in any moment we said anything, we were more than happy to pay, we are on holidays!), the only solution she gave us was give her our card number (we are policeman and we know thats one way to charged more, be scammed or be robbed), so it wasn’t a choice. She was extremely rude and want us to paid the commission in the ATM when we asked before to paid by card! otherwise, we wouldn’t be there. not happy to make loose our time, we had to go to peters dive resort to try there the machine, she started to say we didn’t want to pay to everyone and do the show in the place of course ( i repeat in any moment we said that in any moment we didnt want to pay, we just wanted to pay and leave of that nightmare). anyway, a really bad moment in our holidays to not remember again. Just if you are smart and enjoy your holidays don’t leave this women destroy it!

Huge luxurious rooms, comfy beds, strongest water pressure, incredibly attentive staff, delicious food catering for local and international taste, ethical whale shark tours that support local community, owner Delia made us bespoke menu as my girlfriend is allergic to gluten. Padre Burgos Castle hotel has been our favourite place in stay in the whole of the Phillipines, we cannot wait to come back!

The management was very inflexible, refusing to allow me to cancel my second night, when I needed to change plans since I had been unexpectedly invited while on the way, to a fiesta in the north of Leyte and being new to the Philippines wanted to learn about local culture. They refused even when I wrote requesting this with over 24 hrs notice. The wifi was poor in the hotel, and only sporadically available in the room Food was fine, but overpriced

The hotel is beautifully situated on the top of a cliff overlooking the bay. The dining room is fitted out with attractive antique wooden furniture. There is a small private beach reached down stone steps, separated from the public beach by a rocky outcrop.

i loved the property, just getting transportation from one place to another is a little difficult.

The friendliness of the staff and the location was amazing! They made delicious food for lunch and dinner. The pool was small but it satisfied our needs and they have a private beach .
