You only get one bottle of water for free, even though we were there for two nights. The water in the bar fridge was €3 for 250ml which is crazy. We bought bottles water at the supermarket across the street for €0.17 for 500ml.

We got a big discount and a free upgrade. While still expensive, it was good value for what we got. When we wanted to extend our stay.for an extra night, the prices was more expensive than both our two nights combined so we decided to move on. Free parking for motorcycles.

We drove from Porto to Lisbon and it was a relief not to have to drive through Lisbon to reach the hotel. The parking, for our large 4x4 was easy and there was the offer for the hotel staff to park for us. The concierge and lobby employees were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the 15th floor and was very quiet both from external and internal hotel noise. Breakfast was excellent especially the coffee served from the espresso machine at the bar. The hotel is a good 20 minute walk from the centre but there are good tram and bus links and a taxi was no more than €10 including a tip. Our stay coincided with a special birthday and we’d like to extend our thanks for the special attention we received particularly from Paulo Mesquita.

The bathtub design was very difficult for me. There was no grab bar on the wall to steady me getting out of the tub and the sides of the tub were too high for my short, arthritic legs.

Everything, great staff. Nice touch--one night we had a fruit plate and bottled water set up in our room.

Beautiful lobby and restaurant. Also, beautiful restaurant on the second floor. The second floor restaurant had exceptional cuisine. Very helpful guest service person. Was able to check in early.

It is not allowed to take drinks from the vip Lounge to the room, though this is the best use case actually. The sauna is too cold, just about 60 degrees Celsius. The bed was really hard, even after having a topper added. No hot water bottle on request.

Though the hotel seems very old, it has its charm. The staff is very welcoming and all facilities are clean.

The only thing that was disappointing was that the pool and spa facilities closed at 7.30pm. This meant that if you did a day's sightseeing, you would be pushed to get back in time to use the facilities. It would be great if they could keep the spa and pool open later until 9.00 or 10.00pm.

The location was perfect at the top of a hill. It took about 30 minutes to walk downhill to the river front, but there are numerous buses directly outside that will take you to the centre of Lisbon. Staff were very friendly and professional. It was a real bonus to have a dining table in our room furnished with plates, cutlery, and glasses. After a long day of sightseeing, it was great to take advantage of the spa facilities, which included a lovely pool.

A longer walk into town than anticipated
