How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Slovenia is the best country in Europe, not only because it is so beautiful, but because the people are amazing too. The host Janko is a real proof as he made us feel really welcome, also offered us home made drinks from the farm. The apartments was great and spotless too. Thank you!

One of the rooms was not as new and modern as the other ones.
The hosts were particularly friendly and offered us drinks, snacks and had fresh eggs for purchase. They accommodated all our requests with patience and hospitality.

Kitchen utensils are limited, which makes not convenient for cooking.
Spacious apartment for a group of 2 adults and 2 children. The big backyard is great for children to play, e.g. basketball. The apartment is very close to the autobahn though there is no supermarket and restaurant in the village.

Great big, new, very clean apartment with everything you need and air-conditioning. Very comfortable.mattresses. Breakfast basket was available to order with fresh food from the local farmers. Close to the highway. Perfect for day trips in any direction..

Everything about our stay was excellent! We enjoyed the location, the facilities, the breakfast, and the interaction with the owner.
Very pleasant interaction with the owners. They met us in the courtyard immediately as we arrived, checked us in, told us about the farm, and showed us around.

The apartment was advertised as having a washing machine which we expected to be in the apartment, however it wasn't the case since the laundry had to be shared with other apartments. We found out when we arrived at 10.30pm Saturday night, that there was a national holiday that particular weekend in Slovenia, having just landed in the country it would have been helpful had a few provisions been provided such as milk, jam & bread etc , as it was there were no supermarkets open until the following Monday, in the end we had to order a 'Bled breakfast basket' from the hosts late that evening, which we thought was a little expensive at 21 Euro. In the end we drove across the border into Italy that Sunday afternoon to buy our provisions would you believe.
Very friendly hosts, beautiful countryside location (even if slightly remote to shops & restaurants ) When we arrived slightly later due to a delayed flight there was no problem at all for the owner who even gave us a glass of his own farm produced apple juice & a glass of one if his own distilled flavoured gins which was a very nice touch. Only a 20 minute drive to Lake Bled.

Nice and clean apartment with comfy beds for a family of four in a very quiet location. One table on the balcony, one larger one on the terrace - we enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast or for a drink in the evening. Location is good - we stayed for 8 days and drove to all the spots we wanted to visit instead of moving to another apartment after 4 days. It only is a 3min drive to the Autobahn to Bled or Ljubiliana. I also saw other offers where you first have to drive on serpentines to get to any other place - not much fun with young kids :)

The friendliest hosts were waiting for us at the location. We were introduced to the apartment and everything went smoothly. It is easy to access from the highway so it's fast to get in and out of the location.

The Wifi which becomes regulary very slow or temporary unavailable. But, we are not on vacation to spend the day on the computer.
Very nice, one of the most furnished appartement I've ever seen. It is like home, but even better.

Everything was great
The farm was absolutely gorgeous! The staff was waiting for us, and they welcomed us with a taste of their local products! The room was big and super clean, the are is wonderful! There are animals and so many crops there, you can really feel the Slovenian village. Very quiet are even the highway is so close. Very good experience! Highly recommend!

Nice accommodations on a lovely, serene property--friendly/helpful hosts. Petra was ready to greet us upon arrival and immediately offered my children fresh apple juice made on the farm and an adult drink for myself that was also made on the farm.

Whatever is disturbing you it will be taken care of.
We were travelling with 3 kids and the place was perfect for leaving them alone wonder around in the village. The farm house is carefully renovated to meet the highest demands. The apartment we stayed in was spacious, with a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, very nice bathroom. Kids loved the rain shower. It was perfect for 5 people but could have hosted 7 easily. The house is indeed 20-25 minutes drive to the lake or the gorge but if you prefer to be in nature away from the crowd it's a price worth paying. Although the highway seems to be close it's still a very quiet place. We were a bit worried about previous comments on the nearby church bell but it was nothing disturbing. Nights couldn't be more relaxing. Petra and her family was always there for us. We had great restaurant suggestions and all issues had been solved promptly. When asking for a nearby place for morning coffee we were given a coffee machine within an hour with a package of ground coffee as a gift. They were beyond kind. Welcome drinks upon arrival, eggs collected by the kids from the poultry yard, onion sacks hanging from the barn roof are all just made the whole expereince perfect. Thanks again.
