How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only issue there was, Traffic. You can hear the traffic pretty good. But it didn't keep me from falling asleep in that nice comfy bed.
The rooms were very comfortable. Especially the bed was extremely comfortable. Shower was nice and and large. Very nice!

The continental breakfast was very basic with toast cereal juice and coffee. I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it, but only that it was adequate rather than being something special.
recently remodeled very nicely. The bed is large and comfortable, The shower has great water pressure, overall the room was decorated beautifully.

I would have liked a smaller chair at the desk, because it was so large it hinders movement inside the room, at times. The faucet at the sink doesn't seem to have hot water, but it is useful for water conservation. The breakfast was nothing we would enjoy.
The rooms were clean and beautiful. The bathroom shower and toilet were wonderful. The sink and counter in the room were very convenient. The beds were so comfortable. The closet, and drawers were very nice. The heater/air-conditioner worked very well inside the room.

We really enjoyed the comfortable beds as well as the hospitality the staff provided . They really take pride on providing the best stay for guests and it shows . We also enjoyed the breakfast bar it was a nice modest breakfast to get you started for the day . The receptionist was really friendly and communication was really easy as well .Wonderful stay overall .

There is a construction project directly next door to my room. Drilling and alot of construction noise starting at 7 a.m. every morning.
Beautiful and modern rooms on the inside. The rooms have been renovated and have the look and feel of a high end boutique hotel. There are drawers and a well designed closet to place clothing in. The interior design and amenities of the room have an extended stay appeal. Your room will be serviced every other day. The room that I rented was exactly as described.

Not many choices for breakfast. Coffee tastes watery. Not sure why the housekeeping came in the very early morning (6AM-ish) on the day we should check out - the staff should be more cautious.

The room had a very strong chemical cleaner smell when I first entered. But, I opened the window and aired it out.
Pleasantly surprised by America's Best Value Inn! My first time ever staying here. I think the room and bathroom was recently upgraded, most of it looked really new. I usually prefer firmer beds and pillows, and I found the bed and pillows to be quite comfortable - not too soft/flimsy, good support. The desk and desk chair were also very comfortable (I think the chair was new). The bathroom was definitely recently upgraded, I could still see the construction markings on the shower stall, lol! I liked the shower stall - overhead showerhead, great water pressure, super clean floor. I also appreciate the full-sized pump liquid soap / shampoo / conditioner dispensers in the bathroom and shower (can't stand the little bars of soap and the tiny shampoo/conditioner bottles that most hotels provide). The room also came with a microwave and good-sized refrigerator. I arrived extremely late but the drive-up/check-in window was open; I simply had to ring the bell and a clerk immediately came out. Parking was readily available and free for the 1st car. I would definitely recommend to others and I would definitely stay here again!
