There's absolutely nothing we didn't like. Everything was great!

Great location. Warm friendly host. Exceptionally clean room with everything you need and more. The communal kitchen and honesty bar was a friendly surprise and is very well stocked, lovely extra!

This was a great experience! The guesthouse felt like a home, with charming rooms and delicious breakfast. The area is (in my opinion) the best in Cape Town, with lots of restaurants and cafés in walking distance and close to both the mountains and the beach (by car).

I cannot say I didn't like anything, but perhaps the property could consider adding television sets to the rooms. If you are perhaps traveling alone for work, this would be a welcome distraction. Again, this is not a dislike, just a suggestion.

Beautiful Cape Dutch heritage house with wooden floors and fireplaces in the rooms. Very spacious rooms and many common areas to relax in and have breakfast or enjoy a sundowner. 5 star accommodation at 4 star rates! A must stay if you are in Cape Town. The staff are exceptional and the breakfast spreads are incredible and great value for money.

Amazing! So friendly and serviceminded staff. The house is beautiful with a really nice garden just outside. In our bedroom there was a fireplace that we could use during the evenings. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and served as requested. We are more than delighted and highly recommend Parker Cottage.

Old world charm, and very comfortably furnished with great lounge areas. Also very good location in the City Bowl. My room was great and quiet, with a very comfy bed. Pamela and her staff are very friendly and helpful. Pamela changed the date of my stay on short notice without any penalties, which I was grateful for. The breakfast exceeded my expectations.

During my stay, there were frequent daily loadsheds in Cape Town, sometimes at inconvenient times - when you come back from a day out, it is a bit unfortunate to not have electricity in the bedroom. Perhaps a generator for peak hours would be good ? In any case I found it good to inform the guests every day of the planned times of loadsheds, so to the extent possible, I could make plans accordingly.

Amazing breakfast, with something different every day. Location is ideal, very close to some nice restaurants and bars, and about 20mn walk to the historic city center. The bedroom is well equipped, with well thought details. The staff also had put a desk at my disposal in the bedroom, as I needed to work in the evenings. Everything was done to make my stay comfortable. There are also plenty of guide books and useful tips for hikings and visits, in the living room.

The only negative I can think of is the off street parking. But should not put you off. Location so central and we made use of Uber to get around the city.

Lovely facility and very welcoming host. Staff very friendly. All went out of their way to make our stay exceptional.

Nothing to dislike, if you don’t enjoy your stay here, you’re doing something wrong

The welcome was fabulous, nothing is too much trouble. Arriving in SA winter, there were open log fires burning, one set up in our room too although we never used it, to us Brits it was still warm! Pamela booked and organised all the trips we requested before arriving, it couldn’t have been simpler. Ron was our tour guide and he made our days out fun and interesting, we learnt so much from him, we highly recommend.
