We stayed in the chateau and it was very pleasant. We liked watching the birds in the wisteria outside the window. Lovely greeting on arrival from host and his dogs. Breakfast was very pleasant with lovely croissants and jams. The puppy dog made us laugh as has learnt how to open the dining room door! Very determined. Pretty garden. Parthenay is a small but quaint village. Very tranquil.KathrynYoung couple
