Breakfast was exceptional. Met my families needs and then some. will definitely be returning in future years.

Excellent hotel in Siebnen, with a good restaurant, that had special offers for the hotel guests. I stayed there one night, and the room was nice and very clean! Breakfast was also very good!

The Schmid & Alfa is spread over 2 buildings that are over a century old. The renovated rooms offer modern amenities such as LCD flat-screen TVs with 150 channels. Many rooms have views over the lake and mountains. This hotel is right in the heart of Brunnen, and we could walk everywhere. It was a 2 minute walk to the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife making workshop. We had private/dedicated parking for our entire stay, which was great when you have tired kids after a day of sight seeing in the local area. Breakfast was good, with enough variety to satisfy a picky toddler and food sensitivities. The most amazing thing about our stay was the view from our apartment. We could watch the boats on the lake and wake up to the water and mountain fresh air.

The property has 3 restaurants that serve regional and international cuisine. The location is very remote, and I really enjoyed the peace and quiet this provided. Going for a walk along the train tracks in the evening was magical. The facilities were great -- the bed was really nice and big and SUPER comfortable, the breakfast had so many options, with a nice info paper about the days weather and offerings, and of course the spa was amazing. I think it was especially great that the spa was open to guests earlier, I basically had a huge bathtub entirely to myself to enjoy. It was incredible.
