Very friendly, welcoming, and warm family owned hotel. Fantastic staff who are very observant and service oriented. The hotel is right in the city center just a few steps from the teater and the walking street in Sønderborg. I wouldn’t call this sweet a suite, but it was a very spacious room with nice interior , lots of closets space and a safe.

Stunning buffet on Tuesday eve - for quality and value - and selection of deserts. As a world traveller - this is a top notch place to stay.

Hotel Sønderborg Garni is located in Sønderborg very close to the beach. Each room here has free WiFi and is furnished with a minibar, desk and a flat-screen TV. Very neat and cozy location. Staff was really friendly. View from the bedroom to the sea was amazing.

Situada ao lado do Castelo de Schackenborg, na pitoresca vila de Møgeltønder, esta pousada remonta a 1687. We loved the location and the gorgeous buildings in the old parts of Møgeltunder where the kro is located.. Great area for walks, especially when the weather is on your side. The Schackenborg castle is next door. Our room was located upstairs in a qute house next to the main building. The room was petite but still spacious, considering the time when the house was built. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries, and it had a bathtub. The breakfast was extraordinary with a good spread from local producers as well as other Danish foods. Lovely porcelain and ambience. The staff was very hospitable and friendly. Especially the staff at the time for our arrival when the reception was closed. They had to leave their duties at the restaurant to give us the things missing in our room as it was only set up for one person. A minor error, but they really got out of their ways to set it straight. The garden was lovely as lovely as well.

Friendly reception . Good bicycle storage inside and secure . Our room, #22 was large but without ambiance and right off the highway with traffic noise continually . Had A/C so we just kept the windows closed to decrease the noise . Our room was at the top is one of the narrowest and steepest staircases that we have experienced in a European Hotel . Only way out of the room was down the narrow stairs in an emergency or a fire . Really not a good idea or plan . Breakfast was good with several hot and cold choices .

Lovely property with loads of parking. Beautiful large room - towels were particularly soft. Lovely breakfast with lots of local produce - highly rated the cheese and apple juice and the pate was especially nice. The shop, which is part of the facility, has a wide variety of items for sale and the butcher shop looked particularly inviting (sad we were unable to make use of this as we were travelling onwards).
