Stunning buffet on Tuesday eve - for quality and value - and selection of deserts. As a world traveller - this is a top notch place to stay.

Hotel Sønderborg Garni is located in Sønderborg very close to the beach. Each room here has free WiFi and is furnished with a minibar, desk and a flat-screen TV. The staff where brilliant very helpful. The room was clean and pleasant with all facility's including a tray with kettle cups tea sugar and fresh milk on request. The breakfast was full continental with everything fresh and well presented.

Situada ao lado do Castelo de Schackenborg, na pitoresca vila de Møgeltønder, esta pousada remonta a 1687. One wonders how close to paradise a hotel can come. Schackenborg Slotskro comes a very close! Yes its pricey, but its worth it if you can afford this luxury. Friendly reception . Good bicycle storage inside and secure . Our room, #22 was large but without ambiance and right off the highway with traffic noise continually . Had A/C so we just kept the windows closed to decrease the noise . Our room was at the top is one of the narrowest and steepest staircases that we have experienced in a European Hotel . Only way out of the room was down the narrow stairs in an emergency or a fire . Really not a good idea or plan . Breakfast was good with several hot and cold choices .

Lovely property with loads of parking. Beautiful large room - towels were particularly soft. Lovely breakfast with lots of local produce - highly rated the cheese and apple juice and the pate was especially nice. The shop, which is part of the facility, has a wide variety of items for sale and the butcher shop looked particularly inviting (sad we were unable to make use of this as we were travelling onwards).
