Very welcoming owners, the property provided a friendly atmosphere. The food and wine was tasty and good value, we ate with other guests which was enjoyable and entertaining.

Hôtel Rive Sud ligger i Chinon, i hjärtat av regionen Châteaux de la Loire. Hotellet erbjuder ett varmt och vänligt välkomnande, 5 minuter från stadens medeltida centrum. I had the best stay. The rooms are simple but very clean and stylish. The breakfast room is beautiful and breakfast itself was excellent. Great location for exploring Chinon.

Logis Hôtel du Cygne is located in the heart of Bracieux on the Loire Castles Route, 20 km from Blois, 8 km from Chambord and 10 km from Cheverny. We came here 25 years ago, the hotel is soooo cute in an old style farm! The hotel is now even better with new owners, a modern look and so confortable! We had a room with an outside space and table, perfect for aperitif! One of the new feature we loved was the free filtered sparkling and normal water fountain and the little salon where there is a kitchenette with a microwave and all you need to have a dinner, as well as a coffee maker! Staff were so nice, it is also only a few minutes away from Chambord. There is a great safe bike garage where we could leave our bikes. Finally, right next to a supermarket, a bakery, and in a cute little village!

Le Manoir de Maucartier ligger i Monnaie, 16 km från Tours. Både WiFi och gästparkering ingår utan extra kostnad. Vissa rum har en bekväm sitthörna. Alla rum har en kaffekokare. Everything! The owner was extremely pleasant, very kind and always with a smile on his face, ready to help and accomodate every need we had. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely mindblowing, the guesthouse is very clean, extremely beautiful and one of a kind. Gorgeous experience and thank you for everything!

Le Grand Saint-Marc ligger i Vendôme, 37 km från Blois och 50 km från Chambord. Alla rum har en platt-TV och en sittgrupp där du kan koppla av efter en händelserik dag. Le Grand Saint-Marc was a spectacular surprise. It's difficult to overstate my pleasure at staying here. I was long-distance cycle touring, had suffered a non-trivial accident 50km south, and needed a little comfort and recovery time. My 'attic' room was lovely, with heaps of space, an excellent bathroom, and great fixtures. The entry door is suitably 'heritage' in character, from when ppl on average were even shorter than me. Bump, oops. Tall folk beware. The staircase up to my room is not for folk with mobility problems, although the property does also have ground floor rooms. The room was not air-conditioned, and I did stay during some hot weather, but the many windows and two excellent fans were perfectly adequate. I think breakfasts were probably my highlight. The host - Francois (IIRC) - was lovely and very knowledgeable of the foods and coffees he was providing me. I lingered - forever - over breakfast. The accommodation, and there are several options, is in an heritage stone building within a large walled land holding. There's gardens, trees, and open areas all around.

We rerouted our trip just to stay at this amazing property. It far exceeded even our highest expectation! The property is beautiful in a stunning location. The host told us the history of the property that is fascinating. Sitting in the living room at night before the fire the host set in the fireplace after we returned from dinner was one of the greatest experiences of our trip. The breakfast was also fantastic. We purchased the book that shared the history of the property and their story of how they acquired it and restored it. Don't miss this property. It's a lifelong memory.

The breakfast is incredibly; home made Marmelade, yogurts and fresh baguette. All in all a wonderful place to either unwind or use it as a base to see what the area has to offer.
