Residence Inn by Marriott Aberdeen is set within a 20-minute walk from the beach in Aberdeen. Free WiFi is available. All units feature a seating area with work space and a fully equipped kitchen. Lovely room, spacious and tastefully decorated. Bathroom is big and with a nice shower. Loved the desk as I was travelling for wok so it was nice to have a sturdy, large area to work at without feeling like I was cramped in a corner. Buffet breakfast is generous and very tasty, and everyone was very helpful and polite. I asked to check-in early and reception was kind enough to let me do so. Excellent location and lots of amenities around.

We had a lovely time at the beautiful property. From the Egyptian cotton linen, to coffee and cake every evening to the box of luxury chocolates and the homemade jams and locally sourced produce, Joyce and Garry's attention to detail and warmth made our stay a memorable one. The house, the garden, the food and hospitality, more than 5 stars in every way. Couldn't recommend this "hidden-gem" enough.

The Gordon Guest House is located in Ballater, within Cairngorns National Park. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a TV. The hosts are extremely friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the whole area! Nice bed, excellent breakfast (locally sourced), adjacent public parking lot; felt like a home away from home!

A short walk from the shops on Elgin High Street, Moraydale Guest House offers attractive bed and breakfast accommodation in Moray. Location, parking, room, bathroom, many choices at breakfast, lovely staff. It is a very well run guest house, and I highly recommend it.

Thirty miles north of Aberdeen, Saplinbrae Hotel & Lodges provide luxurious accommodation with an on-site bar and restaurant serving fine local food. Third time I have stopped at the hotel and would always do so when working in this part of the country. Always a warm welcome, lovely rooms and excellent food. Peaceful location.
