Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). A really great place to stay. The tatami rooms are lovely, we had the most wonderful autumn colours right outside our window. Fabulous. We also really enjoyed the veg. Curry in the evening.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Beautiful location, wonderful experience, very friendly staff! Would highly recommend! (And they’ll pick you up at the port)

Onomichi Guest House Miharashi-tei ligger i Onomichi, 0 minutters gang fra Senkoji-templet. Her er en bar og udsigt til byen. Dette pensionat har 2 stjerner. We stayed in the large family room upstairs and the view was amazing. This place made us feel like we were really in Japan with tatami floors and shoji screens in a beautifully restored traditional house. The story of the restoration project is interesting too. We walked up to the temple and the observatory at the top of the hill, and explored the surrounding streets before going biking on the islands the next day. Wished we had stayed two nights instead of only one. The futons were comfortable and warm. Other guests were considerate and quiet. Facilities were clean.

Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. It was a great stay! The staff was kind and patiently pointed out to all the amenities like the bath, breakfast choice (western or japanese) or that they offer us pajamas and slippers. The bath was definetely a highlight of our stay and a surprise as we weren't expecting it. Futons were comfortable and breakfast was delicious. We have zero complains and would love to come back.

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Beautiful property. We had the half board with multi course traditional Japanese meals. They were amazing but yes, pricey. We wore our traditional Japanese. The hubby used the Osen and said it was fabulous. I didn’t go as I stayed with our 10 year old daughter who didn’t feel comfortable doing it. The staff was helpful and courteous. We left our bags with them on the day of checkout and they brought us to the ferry around 14.30.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. Værelset var virkelig dejligt, rummeligt, god indretning og fantastisk udsigt
