Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Morizuya staff were exceptional. They delivered excellent service throughout our stay. Examples include detailed welcome/ tea ceremony, proactive offering to help us take photographs, helping us with the correct way to tie our yukatas and driving our luggages to the train station. Dinner was delicious and simply wow. Breakfast was a delight too. Will highly recommend anyone looking to stay a night(s) in Kinosaki Onsen to seriously consider Morizuya as your first choice. Traditional multi-course dinners, hot-spring baths overlooking old forests, and spacious Japanese rooms with nature views await guests at Negiya Ryofukaku. Reception staff was fantastic and very accommodating- assisted us with baby change and nursing facilities even though the hotel was closed for maintenance.

Located a 5-minute taxi ride from Sannomiya Station and Motomachi Station, Kobe Minato Onsen Ren boasts a variety of hot spring baths, a year-round hot spring outdoor pool, an indoor swimming pool, a... The price is high, but you can expect a lot. The hotel rooms were great. You could choose if you prefer to sleep in big comfy western beds or prefered a Japanese futon instead (there were two rooms, so enough space to get the futons out). Maybe prepare a bit in advance, so that you know what´s going on, because the English introduction at reception is a bit shorter than the Japanese one, but the staff is always really helpful and can answer your questions. Breakfast and diner were both included and were fantastic. The sushi cook in the evening was so helpful and we tried 2-3 different sort of fish we never had before. And all the other dishes were great, too. Don´t forget to stop in time, so that there is still room for dessert ;o) The onsen on the roof is wonderful. You have an excellent night view and can see the beautiful harbour area. There is an onsen for women and one for men. First there is a big room where you undress and put your clothes in little baskets. Then there is a shower room followed by a pool, a whirlpool and the lovely onsen. And if you want to spend around 200 Yen extra, don´t forget to visit the room with the massage chairs. They are amazing.

A 3-minute walk from JR Kinosaki-Onsen Station, Koyado Enn offers hot spring baths for private use, a café and a restaurant. Free WiFi is provided, and yukata robes are available at the reception. Perfect place to stay in Kinosaki! 10/10!

Taketoritei Maruyama is a non-smoking Japanese-style accommodation featuring natural hot spring baths for private use and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Our room was amazing, both the room and hotel are very clean. The room was quiet, our private onsen and garden were beautiful we enjoyed them a lot. There is a cattle in the room with tea and also a coffee maker. The staff was amazing, really friendly, very attentive and helped with all our questions. They reserved restaurants for us and brought us with a car to the restaurants. They also helped with arranging transport for our luggage to the next hotel. There was also a dedicated English speaking staff member. The location of the hotel is also great, it's higher up in Arima, which makes it nice quiet.

Overlooking the beautiful Kobe Harbour, The ORIENT offers luxurious accommodation in the heart of the historic Kyu-Kyoryuchi area. My favourite hotel on my 3 week trip in Japan. Beautiful rooms and public spaces, excellent breakfast.

Located at the waterfront of Kobe Harborland, Hotel La Suite offers spacious rooms with ocean views and a spa bath. It features concierge service, a French restaurant and massage treatments. Everything was exceptional. Warm check-in, a beautiful room, and the best dinner of my trip at Teppanyaki Kokoro. Special thanks to the kind chef and helpful staff at check-out. Thank you all!

Onishiya Suisyouen offers beautiful hot-spring baths, a sauna and Japanese garden beside the Maruyama River. We had an amazing stay at this ryokan. It was so nice to experience a traditional accommodation and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It was also very relaxing to use their spa which had a serene atmosphere and also not crowded like some of the public hot springs. True it wasn’t in the center, you have to walk a bit to the hot springs but it’s an easy 10 minute walk and they also take you in and back by shuttle bus between 4-10pm.
