Amazing place to stay for a relaxing experience. The staff was amazing, the room lovely and the traditonal breakfast super tasty.
Everything! Lovely room, perfect location to visiting onsen and short walk from train station. Lovely bath on site, accommodating to foreign guest. Room was spacious, relaxing and comfortable. Nice to have yukata to borrow for onsen visits and nice lounge area for evening. It was the perfect choice and I will be back. Excellent value for money.
We fell in love with the town of Kinosaki, the perfect relaxing spot after Tokyo and Kyoto. We stayed in June and it was still nice to get up early and use the onsen or at night (days were a bit warm). The hotel was so lovely and they were super helpful. You get a pass to visit all the onsen as well as your traditional yukata (like a kimono) and the wooden clogs. They also had an onsen onsite (split into men and women’s) as well as a private onsen you could use - 2,200 yen for 45 mins - we enjoyed this.
We booked the suite and I'm telling you it really was worth the money! :) We visited a more modest onsen earlier and this was like a luxury version of it. We were truly relaxed after our stay. I've never seen a hotel room so beautiful and never had a dinner like that before! Breakfast was luxurious too, japanese style. We reserved a private onsen on check-in and it was so lovely also.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel but all too short as just for one night. But so loved the seventh floor room and private Onsen. Seeing the hillside while relaxing in the tub was divine. Also both meals, Japanese style, were wonderful. Compliments to the chef. Our server was also wonderfully attentive and patient with us as our Japanese is very limited and was so grateful for her assistance in English. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks so Much. Doug
It’s understated but in a nice way. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. The private Onsen is so relaxing. It’s a luxury to have it all to yourself. We booked a Kaiseki dinner and it was amazing! A big thank you to the Executive chef Yoshihiro Ogasawara!
The room was good. The staff are very lovely and try really hard to explain things despite limited English. One of the private baths is very modern and truly a wonderful place to relax. The location is very central and a close walking distance to absolutely everything.
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tocen Goshobo. It was just a few minutes walk away from the bus stops. The onsen bath was atmospheric and the temperature felt just right (not too hot even for inexperienced bathers). The staff was wonderfully welcoming, the room lovely and the futon beds extra comfortable. The Arima onsen village was bigger than we expected, several dinner options (we opted for only breakfast (was superb!) at the Tocen Goshobo).
Great place to stay for a more traditional feel - the look and feel of the place is beautiful. Private Onsen is a great touch and was very relaxing. Lovely staff too.
