Overlooking Kagoshima Bay, Hakusuikan boasts an outdoor pool and a variety of spacious indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths, including a Sunamushi sand hot-spring. The whole experience was wonderful. Dinner was abundant, onsen facilities were great and the room was huge!

Beautiful hotel that conveyed the essence of the culture and the layout of the room was perfect. Staff was amazing and hospitable. We selected the breakfast to be included and it exceeded our expectations. It made our experience!

We were welcomed warmly and shown around our tatami room, well furnished kitchen, and private cedar bath house. We made use of the free laundry facilities and riverside trail / communal picnic area. The property is located near a bus stop and walking distance to town (a car rental is recommended). Highlights included a cedar chopstick making workshop and bathing in the cedar bath tub looking out onto the forest. Falling asleep to the sound of the river and forest was also lovely.

Just steps away from Asahidori Tram Stop, Richmond Hotel Kagoshima Kinseicho features comfortable guestrooms, free property-wide Wi-Fi and a breakfast. Only a 1-minute walk from JR Kagoshima Chuo Train Station, Hotel Urbic Kagoshima offers modern accommodations with free wired internet and free WiFi access. It is right next to the train station. The room was clean. The staff were friendly and gave me some restaurant recommendations.

Unfortunately I could not make the booking but my friend did. This is his comment on his stay at Hotel Lexton. Beat all expectations, comfortable bed, great facilities, great staff and located in the centre of Kagoshima. My friend was very happy with his stay!!

Opened in 2012, Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Kagoshima is just a 2-minute walk from JR Kagoshima-Chuo Train Station and features a French restaurant and massage services. Close to many things, clean and all very helpful staff!

The concierge Geoffroy provided the best service ever at the introduction of perhaps an older, but nevertheless elegant establishment. The view from my room and restaurant of Sakurajima were absolutely excellent. Also, the convenience store on the ground floor had excellent souvenirs and best sake range I saw in Japan. The staff here at the convenience shore were extraordinary friendly and took photos and videos with me. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to Kagoshima-chou station and a tram leaves three blocks from the port to Sakurajima. I will be back I hope in the near future. Though I never found Blofeld.
