Newly opened in August 2016, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto Ekimae offers accommodations with free WiFi. The hotel is directly connected to JR Kyoto Station and a 4-minute walk away. The location of the hotel was superb! Just a few minutes walk from the Kyoto Station, which was very convenient for carrying luggage and /or doing trips to Arashiyama or Fushimi Inari. Also, nice gyukatsu or ramen restaurants and cafes in the near vicinty of the hotel. The breakfast could have had a little bit more variety, but all in all it was fine.

Opening in March 2014, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei offers accommodations with a modern yet traditional décor. I like their spa, it has CO2 in it which makes you feel like you’re sitting in a tub filled with coke. Quiet neighbourhood.
