Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. Best Onsen Ryokan so far visiting Kurokawa for the 4th time, great choices of onsen at different hours. We also found the meals sizes more friendly and not over the portion like many other ryokans in the region, didn't need to feel bad not being able to finish all the food.

Located in the heart of the city, Hotel Nikko Kumamoto features accommodations with free wired internet access and views of Kumamoto Castle. High-level service. The hotel is a bit dated, but its very central location makes it great value for money.

Tasuta WiFi-ühenduse ja kuumaveevanniga Ryokan Yamanoyu paikneb Minamiogunis. Kurokawa kuumaveeallikas (onsen) on 100 m kaugusel. Kohapeal on võimalik tasuta privaatselt parkida. The staff were super accommodating and friendly. The Onsen were amazing and many to chose from. If you arrive by bus it’s good to contact for a pick up as it’s a bit of a distance from kurokawa village.

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. The place is wonderfully preserved and the staff is gentle and lovable, they are truly committed to enable their guests have a great time. What I liked: the hotel, location, staff, food.

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. Everything! The ryokan has been immaculately crafted to create a quiet enclave away from the hustle: quiet atmosphere (aside from the soft crackle of the small fire in the central shed), immersive nature elements of the plants/rocks/wooden structures, large outdoor onsen intimately surrounded by greenery. Staff are warmly welcoming despite our language barrier. Impressed at their proactive approach at offering to take photos, and asking our departure plans to arrange transport. Kaiseki dinner was top notch, with detailed attention to visuals as well as flavours. The overall environment also encourages other guests to be respectful as well

Boasting spacious indoor and outdoor hot spring baths surrounded by lush greenery, Ryokan Wakaba provides Japanese-style accommodation in the peaceful mountain area. An amazing experience we will cherish for ever. Wonderful team, everyone so helpful and energetic. We only had two nights here, but it felt like we were part of the 'family'. Highly recommend booking half-board, as the dinner and breakfasts are outstanding and you get to interact lots with the team. Fabulous.

I really appreciate that they took my special requests seriously. The service is superb. The place is so beautiful, spacious and clean. The food is great.

Kurokawa Onsen Ryokan Ichinoi asub Kurokawa kuumaveeallikate piirkonnast vaid 5-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Jaapani stiilis majutusasutuses on Jaapani yukata hommikumantlid. The room was big and spacious. Enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor. They even had a private bath. Both dinner and breakfast were authentic and delicious. Staffs were very friendly and could converse in English. Overall was a good and relaxing trip, except for the road going up to the ryokan was very narrow.

Boasting individual Japanese-style houses and maisonettes with a private open-air hot spring bath, Ryokan Kono-Yu is nestled in lush greenery in the peaceful Kurokawa hot spring area. We were blown away by this wonderful accommodation and staff. The team who looked after us were the warmest, most helpful people and the ryokan itself was simply stunning. Having our own private Onsen was amazing and the tatami room was very stylish . Dinner and breakfast were delicious too - we can’t wait to stay again in the future.
