One of the front desk staff is a Chinese, who can speak both Chinese and Japanese. He was very helpful. Kannawaen is an entirely non-smoking accommodation that features a garden, terrace and bar in Beppu. 100 metres from Hells of Beppu, the property is also 500 metres away from Jigokumushikobo Kannawa. Lovely location. In room onsen was so awesome to have. Views from the balcony were exceptional, mountains, the city and the sea. The food was absolutely gourmet level and was a highlight for us. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful.

Yunohira Kamiyanagiya offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 40 km of Crasus Dome Oita and 16 km of Kinrinko Lake. Best experience of our lives! The food was the best food we have ever eaten and the staff and service were superb! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you’re in Japan and want a truly authentic experience stay here.
