The views over the islands of Matsushima were superb - truly one of the 3 great views of Japan! Our room overlooked the famous Fukuurabashi bridge through a picturesque screen of the twisted pine trees that make this view so iconic. The kaiseki style meals were superb - delicious and beautifully presented. Each dish was a delight of discovery, awe and wonder. We enjoyed a private onsen bath with sunset views and also visited each of the other public baths over the next day. The views over the bay are simply stunning.

Very good hotel in a strange location, in the middle of an industrial estate. There is a train service but it is about a 30 mins walk there. Some really good facilities, breakfasts were really good mainly Japanese, remember to have bare feet.

Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae offers a 24-hour front desk and simply decorated accommodation. La ubicacion es fenomenal, a 3 minutos andando de la estacion de JR. Esta cerca de calles comerciales con muchos restaurantes, asi como centros comerciales. Enfrente hay un Don Quijote. El desayuno es excelente, con gran variedad de productos japoneses, aunque un poco mas corto en occidental, pero suficiente. Tiene servicio gratuito de bebidas y helado desde el mediodia, asi como snacks. Por la noche sirve soba de pato que esta bien. Personal muy amable.

A 3-minute walk from JR Sendai Station, Sendai Washington Hotel features modern rooms, free WiFi and a 24-hour reception. The location of the hotel, is fantastic, it's just five minutes walk from the Jr station and close to everything. The bathroom is updated and well equipped. I couldn't thank more to the staff of the hotel, they are not just only professional and helpful but also kind and really put themselves into customers' shoes. I suffered a horrible backache right after I checked out in the morning. It was so painful, that I couldn't even stand in the lobby. After I lied on the couch for a few minutes, we realized that our only option was to stay at least one more night in the hotel. My friend who couldn't even speak a single Japanese word told the staff about our situation. Luckily, they had one last room available and the staff allowed us to check in immediately, which literally saved my life. We actually stayed in the hotel for two more nights before we decided to cancel all our schedule due to my pain, and even we couldn't book the same type of room, the staff allowed us to stay in the same room as I was not able to move at all. When we were finally leaving the hotel, the staff helped me to carry all my luggage. To the taxi. I forgot to ask the staff's name, but every staff that we met in the hotel were just kind and warm hearted. So I just want to say "thank you" to all of them. This is far beyond good service this is the kind of kindness that you would remember for your whole life.
