Yoshi and his wife were Extremely helpful and amazing people, anything you need you get help with and they suggested more than enough things to go while we were there for our short stay.

Located in Matsumoto in the Nagano region with Mt.Norikura Ski Resort nearby, Raicho Onsen Inn provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. Staff were absolutely amazing, helped me plan an awesome adventure during my stay. Great vibes at raicho.

Located in Karuizawa, Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton is situated a 6-minute walk from Kyu Karuizawa Ginza Dori shopping street. We loved this hotel within walking distance from the lovely central shopping street. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was excellent.

Set in Chino, ノマの森 Nomanomori B&B offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a bar. The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

Opened in August 2012, B&B Hotel Hyochoan offers simple Western-style accommodations. Free in-room WiFi is available and guests can enjoy bird watching from the property’s terrace. The room is very clean and comfortable. The hosts are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is the best!

Oshi Ryokan is located in Nagano, 20 km from Zenkoji Temple, 22 km from Nagano Station, as well as 32 km from Suzaka City Zoo. We had an amazing time at Oshi ryokan. It was truly a highlight in our 2 week trip to Japan. After having a very busy few weeks walking and travelling around from city to city, this was the perfect place to spend our last few days. The food was excellent and easily the best food we ate while in Japan. Oshi and his family are so hospitable, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. It was a peaceful, romantic and restorative getaway. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. The location is very central and gives you access to all of the bath houses. There beds were traditional as expected and traditional clothing was made available for your use while experiencing the onsen. Meals were not in Ryoken but there were options available nearby for each meal and all the food options were delicious. The hosts were kind, knowledgeable and so attentive. They also have a private outdoors onsen in their ryoken as well as a shared bath in the bathroom. Highly recommend, the whole experience was so peaceful! I would definitely stay here again!

Located in the Shibu hot-spring district, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths at Suminoyu. Massages can be requested and a footbath is also available for extra relaxation. Staff were lovely and helpful, they dropped us to Yudanaka station after check out. Excellent food, dinner was exceptional. We loved visiting the 9 onsens and were so pleased that we managed to do this. Our room was very spacious and the beds very comfortable. We would definitely visit again.

A small 6-room inn with Ryokan meals and cosy interiors, Yasuragi is just a few minutes drive to Jigokudani Monkey Park and an 8-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station. Hot-spring baths are featured.... Gorgeous room, fabulous private onsen, super kind and friendly host.
