We had a wonderful stay at Mampei Hotel, a beautiful hotel with a long and rich history. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Mr. Komiyama (if I got his name right), who went out of his way to assist us. The atmosphere was warm and peaceful, and it was special to stay at a place once frequented by John Lennon. Our room was elegant and comfortable, with a private onsen bath, and breakfast was thoughtfully prepared to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The scenic drive in and proximity to the old Ginza street added to the charm. A truly memorable and happy experience.

Offering a barbecue and ski storage space, AIBIYA is located in Yamanouchi in the Nagano Region, 4.1 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. Yoshi and his wife were Extremely helpful and amazing people, anything you need you get help with and they suggested more than enough things to go while we were there for our short stay.

Located in Matsumoto in the Nagano region with Mt.Norikura Ski Resort nearby, Raicho Onsen Inn provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. Helpful owner 🤩 Our car got stuck in the snow and the owner kindly helped us to move the car and luggages, even got himself injured 😣 Room was comfortable but the water heater was fault on one of the days.

Located in Karuizawa, Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton is situated a 6-minute walk from Kyu Karuizawa Ginza Dori shopping street. helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was very well-prepared in term of the quality and the presentations , also very delicious. The shuttle service is above my expectations.

Set in Chino, ノマの森 Nomanomori B&B offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a bar. The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

Opened in August 2012, B&B Hotel Hyochoan offers simple Western-style accommodations. Free in-room WiFi is available and guests can enjoy bird watching from the property’s terrace. The hosts went above and beyond in every aspect to take care of my parents during their stay. It was very helpful having the pick up and drop off service from the train station since they weren't confident navigating by themselves.

Oshi Ryokan is located in Nagano, 20 km from Zenkoji Temple, 22 km from Nagano Station, as well as 32 km from Suzaka City Zoo. We had an amazing time at Oshi ryokan. It was truly a highlight in our 2 week trip to Japan. After having a very busy few weeks walking and travelling around from city to city, this was the perfect place to spend our last few days. The food was excellent and easily the best food we ate while in Japan. Oshi and his family are so hospitable, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. It was a peaceful, romantic and restorative getaway. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. Beautifull house, excelent owners. Classic japonese house, with own onsen (there is even a private one, where I could relax together with my husband). They provide yukatas, japonese shoes and even kimonos in your stay! I just loved everything! And they take you in the train station (when you are arriving and leaving). Just awsome stay! 100% recommend.

Located in the Shibu hot-spring district, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths at Suminoyu. Massages can be requested and a footbath is also available for extra relaxation. Everything, it was a wonderful authentic experience. Great service, pick up from and to Yudanaka, as well as to the Snowmonkey Park. Lovely stuff, lovely traditional room. Very clean and quiet and respectful. Futons were very comfortable. Beautiful dinner and breakfast. In the middle of charming Shibu Onsen, perfect for onsen-hopping. We enjoyed it very much.

A small 6-room inn with Ryokan meals and cosy interiors, Yasuragi is just a few minutes drive to Jigokudani Monkey Park and an 8-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station. Hot-spring baths are featured.... Owners are wonderful and kind, clean, comfortable, onsen was so relaxing. Highly recommend
