Staffs are super friendly, though some of them don’t speak English at all, yet their warm attitude makes everything good.

Dantokan Kikunoya ligger 5 minuters bilresa från stationen JR Ogoto Onsen och har en varm källa. Gratis upphämtning från stationen erbjuds på begäran i förväg. The staff here are incredible. They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our honeymoon. I was so grateful for how hard they all worked and how kind they all were. We also got the breakfast service in our room, which was excellent, and they provided several drinks in the fridge for us for free. They shuttled us from the station and back to it, and we were even sent off by the staff at the end of our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Also, our deluxe suite had the private open air bath, and I can't recommend that enough. It was so relaxing and incredible. Lastly, I personally loved the toiletries and additional things that came with the room (shampoo, straightener, beverages, yukata, pajamas, etc.)

Lake Biwa Otsu Prince Hotel ligger vid Biwasjön och erbjuder rum med utsikt över sjön, 7 restauranger och en utomhuspool. Sjökryssningar erbjuds precis utanför hotellet. The property is at an amazing area, with right access to Lake Biwa. Hotel is well maintained and provide shuttle service to and from the station making it convenient for the travelers with luggage specifically. Our view from 22nd floor was spectacular. The hotel is also few meters away from supermarket allowing to grab quick snacks and bytes if required. Overall, 10/10

Kiyotaki Ryokan erbjuder boende i Hikone (Shiga), 8 km från Taga-taisha helgedom. Denna ryokan med 2 stjärnor har luftkonditionerade rum med gratis WiFi och delat badrum. Här finns även en trädgård. I absolutely loved my stay at Hikone and Kiyotaki ryokan. The room I stayed in was spacious and smelled of tatami, the bath was newly and renovated and comfortable, there was a small table in room along with a kettle and a teapot set perfect for a cup of tea in the morning. This was both one of my favorite stays in Japan so far as well as one of the cheaper ones. The owner of this ryokan is super friendly well. He gave me tips on what to see as well as a map of local cafes and restaurants and other tourist attractions which he himself helped make. Overall the stay was super friendly and I hope to come back in the future and even book the dinner this time.

Offering an outdoor pool, indoor/outdoor hot spring baths and 6 restaurants and bars, Biwako Hotel is located a 5-minute walk from Keihan Hamaotsu Train Station. The view of the lake is amazing. The JR Otsu station was also close by, it can be walked or the shuttle bus to and from the hotel and station.

Only a 1-minute walk from JR Kusatsu Station and a 20-minute train ride from Kyoto Station, Hotel Boston Plaza features a restaurant with Western food, a cafe-bar, and bright rooms with free wired... Spacious room with big double bed, long sofa, a working desk, pants iron board and complimentary mineral water & biscuits. Good breakfast with variety of choices and amount. Like both western and Japanese food. It would be better with espresso available from the coffee machine. Prefer espresso than Americano. Hotel staff was very friendly and tried best they could to answer my question although we were conversing with different language. Thumbs up for this. Bathroom with good view which is great to enjoy while shower/in bath tub, like the concept. Lawson convenient store located at ground floor of hotel so it is very convenient if need something along the stay.
