Nayana and Sunil made our stay in Sigiriya truly unforgettable. I’m already looking forward to coming back... and when I do, I’m staying at Shady Mango Villa without a second thought. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and incredibly wellmaintained. Every detail is thoughtfully considered. Honestly, Sunil and Nayana should be consulting hotels on room design, the setup is that good. You’ll find AC, a fan, a large fridge stocked with beer and water, cups, and a very good internet connection. But the best part of staying here isn’t the view of the majestic Lion’s Rock... it’s getting to know these wonderful hosts and sharing stories with them. That alone makes the stay special. the breakfast club was Varied, generous, and absolutely delicious.

Super hosts, going out of their way to look after us, food was the best we had in sri lanka, they even took my 4 year old son around the property to show him some of the animals. the vegetable curry is a must have. Location was also very good, quiet and right next to the big sites.

The facilities were so clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was so kind. Our favorite attraction was the huge pool! Can’t wait to come back with my husband next summer!

Dinesh & his family were so helpful during our stay. They helped organise transfers, safaris, tuk tuks and more! The room was great for the price; beds comfy, always had hot water and very quiet location. A few minutes walk to the local town at most. The breakfast was amazing & as much as possible home grown including spices - we haven’t found one better yet in Sri Lanka!

The most important thing for us is cleanliness, and this hotel exceeded our expectations—it was spotless. The staff’s behavior was also exceptional—everyone was kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The location is perfect: right by the river and within walking distance to all the main attractions in Sigiriya. If we ever come back to Sigiriya, we won’t even consider staying anywhere else—this will be our first choice. A special thank you to Mali—she is the best! So friendly and incredibly helpful.
