Located less than 5 minutes’ walk from Palacio de Iturbide Museum and Torre Latino, Hotel Histórico Central offers Colonial-style architecture and free WiFi connection in all areas. Everything was superb. Best staff ever, couldn’t be more helpful.

This 5-star hotel is located in the Zocalo, the main plaza at the city centre in Mexico City. Often, the value of actual hospitality is underrated in the hospitality industry, and it's overshadowed by fancy facilities and frills. Not at Gran Hotel, where the staff treats you like their own guest. They are warm and will go out of their way to help you out. Oh, and the hotel itself is a heritage site with exceptional facilities & a location to kill for! Absolute, must visit. If I am ever in Mexico City again, I am staying at Gran for sure.

Proximity to the main square, the view from the Balcon de Zócalo, the breakfast, very accommodating hotel team. Also, they have unlimited options at a small cafe on the same floor as the reception, so you can ask for any items listed in their menu, which are complimentary as part of your booking, with an exception to some specific alcohol options. On the 1st floor, there is a gym and a sauna, which I had a chance to try. It’s good.

Our stay at InterContinental Presidente Mexico City was flawless from start to finish. The hotel strikes the perfect balance between luxury, comfort, and warmth. The location in Polanco is unbeatable, safe, walkable, and surrounded by some of the best restaurants, cafés, and shopping in Mexico City. Everything feels effortlessly accessible. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and extremely comfortable, with great attention to detail. Housekeeping was impeccable, and the bed ensured deep, jet-lag-free sleep (which says a lot). What truly stood out was the service. Every single staff member was professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. You really feel welcomed and taken care of. Breakfast was excellent, the lobby and common areas are elegant yet relaxed, and overall the hotel delivers a level of consistency that’s hard to find. This is exactly what a 5-star hotel should feel like. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mexico City.

Casa Jacinta Guest House, a property with a garden, is set in Mexico City, 1.3 km from National Cinematheque, 8.8 km from The Angel of Independence, as well as 9.1 km from Chapultepec Castle. The location was incredible. We stayed here for Dia de los Muertos and had a short walk to the festival, major plazas in Coyoacan, and Frida Kahlo's museum but were able to retreat to our quiet room at the end of the day. When I say short, I really mean short because my 10-year old didn't whine about the distance. The breakfast included fresh fruit, juice, and tortillas, and a choice between traditional hot breakfast dishes (the eggs with nopales were incredible). Staff was wonderful and happy to offer recommendations for the area. They arranged transport from the airport ahead of time and we arrived without a hitch. Our room was very comfortable, with new water bottles provided daily, and a gorgeous view of the courtyard.
