The rooms are cozy and have everything you need to cook. Definitely recommend getting the breakfast! The last stretch of road up to the farm isn't suitable for road bikes, but it's not too far to walk. Thanks Annika for being flexible and letting us in late!

Apelvikstrand Strandhus offers modern, self-catering holiday homes next to Apelvik Beach, 3 km south of central Varberg. Each accommodation has a furnished patio, kitchenette and flat-screen TV. There was really nothing not to like. I did experience a little difficult checking in as it was late and dark, and signage leaves a little to be desired. I have to take partial blame though, as if I had read my emails properly I would have realised there was an app to download that helped matters. The cottages are unpretentious but very nice, the location is unbeatable if scenery is your preference, and I had the good fortune to visit in the off-season making my stay great value. I fully expect the prices to be dramatically different in the high season though.

Ce Bed & Breakfast est situé dans une forteresse historique de Varberg. Il propose un hébergement dans ce qui était autrefois une boulangerie, un hôpital et une prison. Room was small but cozy, beds comfortable. We had a large window and two connected single beds. Although there was not much space to walk around, we had everything we needed and shared showers offered a good stream of warm water after an exhausting day. Super friendly reception staff, easy check in. We did not choose breakfast but ate in nearby bakeries instead. Genuinely beautiful sunset from above the rocky walls just outside of the building. The hotel used to be a prison with some interesting historical facts features on the walls of the hall and room. Very much recommend!

300 metres from Varberg’s seafront, this modernised hotel with a stylish Cuban theme offers a roof-top terrace and free WiFi. Hotell Havanna also has a cigar saloon and bar serving a variety of rums. Enjoyed being back at this gem of a place! This time we’d brought family too. Great to see also them loving the place. Thanx for everything Hotell Havanna <3

Situated right by Skrea Beach, Ocean Hotel offers free WiFi and sauna access. All rooms at Ocean Hotel include a minibar, an electric kettle and a flat tv-screen. The hotel was beautiful with a great location right on the beach. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant had great food and service with an excellent view. We enjoyed the sauna, and being able to go directly out to the water before and after.
