The onsen, bath, and Mt Fuji view were astonishing. We loved every minute of our stay. It is so close to the lake. There is a free shuttle to the station and service is great. The breakfast had a plenty of choices of traditional and non traditional food. The dinner ceremony and variety were amazing. We loved our experience. We get a feel of Japanese culture in this hotel.

It is beautiful. Close to the temple, such a lovely area. The traditional feel was so neat, and it snowed! What a treat. The Onsen was lovely. Our beds were futon, which were fine for us. If you are going to the snow monkeys - check the weather and wear appropriate clothing. Boots in the winter, hiking style clothes are needed. Unless you are used to hiking, I wouldn’t take young children in the winter.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. Beautifully decorated ryokan, lovely rooms with locally crafted furniture. Breakfast was expensive but well worth it if you haven’t tried the local Takayama delicacies before. Staff spoke great English as well.

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. fantastic onsenji hotel! the staffs are very friendly and helpful. the location is also very nice,which is walkable , as well as the bus station is upon it. hotel also provides pick-up and drop-off services to the kawaguchiko station. the amazing free breakfast and valuable dinner . onsenji is awesome!
