Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. Beautiful ryokan with a private onsen. Perfect location. We had beautiful room with everything we needed and with a beautiful view. The staff was very kind and helpful. I wanted especially thank to the guy that carried our (heavy) suitcases and then called the “car romance” and rescheduled our train. :-) Happy New Year, team !

The breakfast was one of the best ones I ever had! Food was so good, the hotel is very clean and organized. The onsen area is very nice with Hakone milky waters. And specially, their staff is amazing! The girls at the reception were so kind and friendly! Really good service.

Lovely authentic room. The staff were helpful and offered indoor shoes to use in the ryokan. Great showering facilities. Just wish I had read my messages on booking com sooner to organise breakfast! Great recommendations for a ramen place around the corner and some local shops for souvenirs.

Featuring a terrace with views of Lake Ashi, Hakone・Ashinoko Hanaori offers a soothing hot spring bath and sauna. The property is situated a 2-minute walk from Togendai Station on Hakone Ropeway. The property is breathtaking. Staff was helpful and very nice. We were the only overseas guests so there was a lot of staring, but mostly out of curiosity. Loved the private onsen I booked, I wished I had more time to truly enjoy the facility. The public onsen space was really nice too, but I didn’t feel like covering all my tattoos and didn’t wake up early enough to give it a go. I was so relaxed I ended up oversleeping. The room is tasteful and comfortable. Food is great with a good western options too. Good for my picky eater daughter. Amenities were great. They have a luggage delivery service to the train station so you can enjoy your day without the extra weight. Perfect stay!

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Basically everything was great.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. The bus stop for bus from Odawara is right next to the hotel. Impressive traditional breakfasts and dinners that were not the same every day. The river is nearby and you can hear it flowing. The location is generally very quiet and there were no crowds of wild tourists. I tried even private onsen and it was a good experience. The public onsen was also nice. Futon was extremely convenient to sleep on. The traditional Japanese room is perfect for relaxation, meditation and sleeping. There was pot for boiling water and making green tea. The tea, cups and teapot were very nice.

Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. Excellent stay at the hotel, room was great, they let us drop our luggage before having the room as well as after check out. Great staff, very helpful

Hakone Suimeiso is located a 3-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station and a 15-minute walk from Sounji Temple. It offers public hot-spring baths, free parking on site and free Wi-Fi access. great service with nice food and good location. we enjoyed a good relax time there. 2 meals are so good as both we 2 have different kinds allergies but the hotel meets all our demand and we enjoyed local food with Japanese style services! They are in good command of English so we communicate fluently.

Opened in 1878, The Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. The well-preserved building itself was impressive, and I expect it will be a memorable stay. The facilities are all clean and well-maintained.
