Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. Very good breakfast, good location close to subway

Kahetärniline Ryokan Sansuiso asub Tokyos, 300 meetri kaugusel Remy Gotanda ostukeskusest ja 400 meetri kaugusel kultuuripaketi muuseumist. It is a nice and quaint location. If you are interested in experiencing more traditional Japanese hotel with tatami mats and sleeping on a futon, this is a good option for low price. Naturally it does not provide onsen and the very exotic Ryokan style food service. The owner is really nice. I can only form the most basic Japanese sentences and he does not speak a lot of English, but still we understood each other. Check-in and introductions for the room and the facilities was all done verbally. I only had to rely on a translator app when I requested a taxi to Shinagawa station during check-out. It is not a bad walk, but it was raining so I did not want to get myself and my luggage wet. Taxi fare was 1600 yen. If you are walking to the Ryokan from Shinagawa station, then I recommend planning your route to approach from the south. If you take the slightly smaller street towards the Gotanda Waterfront Plaza, the T-intersection at the end is a very good indicator you are very close by and do not need to worry about walking too far and missing your turn.

A 2-minute walk from Sendagi Subway Station, Japanese-style hotel Annex Katsutaro Ryokan features rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring and free Wi-Fi internet. This is my third visit to this Ryokan in 10 years and I'm sure I will be back. Love the rooms, the location, the staff.

Situated in the Asakusa area, Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu has a history of 70 years. The accommodation boasts a view of the Tokyo Skytree from its Hinoki wood bath. We stayed in the Kiku room. The room size is great for 2 people (about 15 square metres) and very clean. The bathroom is spacious for us. The location is fantastic, so close to Senso-ji Temple, Nakamise Street and the Asakusa train lines (Metro, Toei etc). The lobby has coffee and hot water machines where you can make your coffee and tea. Snacks are also provided. The hotel is also very quiet at night, and the ryokan have a noise curfew policy between 10 pm to 7 am. We are so glad that we chose to stay in the Asakusa area.

Situated 200 metres from Choen-ji Temple, 寅ホテル 御徒町 TORA HOTEL Okachimachi in Tokyo features rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. It is set 300 metres from Tokaku-ji Temple and offers a lift. Great stay! Exactly as described. The location was perfect—very close to Senso-ji Temple and Ueno Park, and the subway access made getting around Tokyo easy. The apartment is compact but has everything you need. The two bedrooms were a good size and the layout is smart and efficient.

Tokyo inn Sakura An asub Tokyos, 200 meetri kaugusel Tokyo Origami muuseumist ja 600 meetri kaugusel Chiisanagarasunohonno muuseumist. The place fits perfectly for a family, it’s cozy, spacious(compared to regular Japanese hotel stay), comfortable and close to convenience stores and Asakusa Sta. We travelled with our two teenagers and they loved the closet style beds. The host was always attentive of our needs and questions. It was indeed a pleasant stay and well recommended for sure.

Situated in Tokyo, within 1.5 km of Sensoji Temple and 2.2 km of Tokyo Skytree, Ryokan Nakadaya offers accommodation with a shared lounge. I stayed at Ryokan Nakadaya on the last leg of my Japan trip during spring. After having seen so much of that beautiful country over two busy weeks, I didn’t think Tokyo could get better than what I had already experienced. Little did I know, I would be so lucky to be in Tatsuo-san’s company. I received a warm welcome, and was showed around the property on arrival. I didn’t even have to carry my luggage to the room as Tatsuo-san took care of it. Each morning, he would ask which area of the city I am planning to visit, and would airdrop me the best recommendations – for food, sightseeing, shopping – you name it, including some rare locations like the Hayao Miyazaki clock which I loved! One morning when it was raining heavily, he offered me a fresh mochi along with some matcha, which was one of my favorite snacks in Japan. He would also perform a little ceremony sparking flint stones to bring me good luck on my travels. Starting my day with such cute interactions with Tatsuo-san was one of the most wonderful highlights of my trip. It felt like I made a friend! As far as the property goes – it’s a charming, vintage ryokan. Each corner is speckless – not only were the common areas cleaned every day by hardworking staff, but so were the rooms. The showers and bathrooms were always clean too, despite being shared. There was also a lobby-like area where you could have tea and enjoy some Japanese snacks. The (single) room itself is a good size for someone who is staying there as a traveler, as you would likely be venturing out during the day. I found the Tatami mats and the futon to be perfect for me as I don’t prefer extremely soft hotel beds, but Tatsuo-san did offer to put more mattresses, in case I wanted them. Like in any ryokan, you have to be careful not to damage the mats, but there are enough shelves and furniture to park your luggage and other bags comfortably. The internet was also fast.

Takanawa Hanakohro, a Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World asub Tokyos, 2,3 km kaugusel Ebisu Garden Place'ist. Kohapeal on restoran. Hanakohro offered a peaceful and comfortable retreat where time and expenses were never a concern. Everything was taken care of, allowing us to fully unwind and enjoy the experience, which included exploring the unique lounges, garden and buildings on the grounds. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding, making us feel at home.
