Located an 8-minute walk from JR Higashihagi Train Station, Hagi No Yado Tomoe, proudly presents its century-old authentic, Japanese atmosphere. loved our stay here! the room was sooo spacious, more than enough room for 2 people. we really felt like we were having a true japanese ryokan experience. everything in the room, from the tatami to the bathroom was so clean and comfortable. the staff was very welcoming and they even came to pick us up from the train station! the front desk helped us with suggestions for different restaurants and called to make reservations for us, they were very accommodating. the onsen was sooo beautiful and really made our stay just perfect. the japanese breakfast was included and it was truly a work of art, every bite was delicious and a feast for the senses. we enjoyed their complimentary coffee while viewing the japanese gardens off the reception area, so relaxing. overall it was just wonderful and we couldn't have asked for anything better. oh and the staff also took us back to the train station after we checked out! would definitely stay here again.

The food was to die for (literally), as we were served a kaiseki of different seasonal foods, including an assortment of pufferfish which was very, very delicious. The room was very spacious and tidy with great views of the mountains, sea, and local docks below. Yukata's are provided free of charge. This hotel was one of the most memorable highlights of our trip! We only stayed for a day, but we'll definitely be back to visit again. The staff were cordial and helpful, and the view of the starry night sky from the onsen was wonderful. Transport can be arranged to pick you up from the nearest bus stop, so don't let not having a car stop you from visiting.

Boasting baths, Tokiwa features Japanese-style accommodations. JR Yuda Onsen Train Station is a 10-minute walk away, and guests can relax at the breathtaking Japanese garden. The staff, the show, the shop, the spa, the room, beautiful artwork throughout the hotel. I felt like I went back in time and loved every minute of it.
