Belo Horizonte is a large city, with heavy traffic in some areas at certain times. However, there are also very pleasant and beautiful places right downtown, as well as many good restaurants and museums. Furthermore, small towns with beautiful historical buildings, such as Sabará, Caeté, and Santa Luzia, are reachable within 30-40 km. During my short 4-day stay, everything went perfectly, and I would love to return for further exploration.

Beautiful city, as it's name reveals, situated on a montainous region surrounded by several historical cities, filled with Portuguese baroc architecture & style, colonial style houses, lush nature around, waterfalls, montain hiking, etc. BH, itself, a city of 3 million inhabitants, capital city of a major Brazilian state. Lots of 20th century modern architecture like art deco, Brazilian modernism/Niemeyer, great nightlife, a must place to experience and delight regional and national cuisine.

What a place to eat, drink and have a nice time!
What a place to eat, drink and have a nice time! It was my first time in the city and I loved it! People are friendly, the city has some hidden pearls worth exploring, but the most amazing part is definitely the food: its culinary is so worth exploring and there are so many nice bars and restaurants! I highly recommend a weekend or a long weekend in the city to explore it - and do walk a lot to even out a bit of all the food and drinks you will have :-)

BH is a modern and vibrant city.
BH is a modern and vibrant city. There are beautiful mountains aroud the city and the most important historical city of Brasil, Ouro Preto, is very close (80km). BH have museuns in Liberdade square (4 museuns) and Inhotim (about 50 km from downtown). A lot of bars and a amazing food! Bh have a Unesco Heritage - Pampulha complex, with an amazing archteture and that is very beutiful.
Probably one of those stays that made me realise that despite of language barriers, goodness is with us all. The owner of the hostel was a lovely man who did all he could to make my two-day stay memorable and comfortable. Facilities were topnotch. The kitchen was of the highest standard. Toilets were always clean. There was a free large towel for every guest! Location was superb. The hostel was more of a boutique hotel than a regular hostel. The best place to stay in Belo Horizonte!
Breakfast was delicious, as usual. We really appreciate the high quality breakfast that is served at this hotel. The beds are super comfortable, rooms are spacious and very clean. Many of the staff speak English, which is a huge plus for us, as we are Americans who struggle with the Portuguese language.
I was able to leave my backpack at the reception for some hours after check out. The location is good, though there are many other options in the area. I really liked Belo Horizonte, lovely city, lots to do, met really nice people in the hostel, had a great time with them.
The hotel is located on the main road in town and next to many restaurants/bars so it is easy to find food. The night reception was excellent as I had a problem with my room type and without hesitation I was given a new room. Basic food items available late at night.
The room size was excellent, as well as the view. The breakfast was good (not excellent though) and the hotel facilities were really good. Staff was lovely and helpful, and they spoke just enough English to make my partner feel welcome and included.
I honestly do not understand bad reviews. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. the breakfast was ok. I personally enjoyed a lot my stay and in comparison with other places i stayed with the same price range this hotel really was great.
The hotel in itself is very good furnished and everything is feasible.
The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Belo Horizonte near main attractions, bars, restaurants and also a shopping mall 2 corners away, really walkable
The value for money, specially with the kindness off the staff is amazing.
I was there due medical issues.
The hotel has wheelchair, bath chair and is connected directly to a hospital.
an unique concept.
The hotel was centrally located, with easy access to a parking garage on the same block. The breakfast was fine. The beds were also fine. The bathroom was clean.
Breakfast was a typical Brazilian hotel breakfast. heavy on the breads, basic fruit, awful coffee. I have never had a decent cup of coffee in a Brazilian hotel!
