Location, location, location. Location is perfect from the train stop. It is a very short walk to the apartment. The property was a little tricky to find as it is above a gas station which makes for a little bit of noise and the patio is less private. As cars fill up at the station below, they can see you if you’re standing on the patio, otherwise those below cannot see you (I never used the patio). The apartment is well stocked with the host providing plenty of towels, the basic toiletries, and a little cream and sugar for the Nespresso coffee machine. The apartment was very clean, everywhere. I did not feel any dirt in the apartment walking barefoot and even in the unfinished attic where the washer is, I did not feel dirt on the floor. The washer is extremely helpful and there is even a dryer as well. The apartment is spacious with two separate rooms with queen beds and a separate living room. The beds were firm, supportive, and comfortable. The bedrooms are made up with the presentation of your towels in a design and a chocolate treat for each guest, which is a very nice touch. The refrigerator was cold and kept our medication cool and there was even a freezer. There is no air conditioning but opening the bedroom windows and using the fans does cool the apartment down and make it comfortable in the evening (we stayed here in mid-July). Two nights we were there the neighbors dogs were barking in the middle night and woke us since the windows were open to allow air in. There’s a slight slant to the apartment floor. Again location- perfect. A short 200m walk to catch the train. It was a 45min ride to Lucerne on the train and was very pleasant; you are close enough to Lucerne to visit easily but out in the country and away from the city. We didn’t see a grocery store nearby or any restaurants, however a train stop or two up there is an Aldi supermarket. You can walk 150m through the camping park to the lake to swim which is clear and beautiful.

This was a rare case where the apartment had absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay. It is located in a modern low-rise building in a quiet town. It’s an excellent base for exploring Switzerland, and every drive through the rolling hills feels like an adventure in itself.

Beautiful apartment, lots of space and a great kitchen. Everything is brand new, great appliances, and everything works great. Right in the middle of town too, 2 min walk from the supermarket

A Perfect Experience!! My wife and I arrived in the pouring rain to a wonderful stay! Mr. Menberg helped us with our heavy luggage and he didn't have to, made sure we were dried off, and we went to our room. We were treated like family and told that we could help ourselves to anything, pointing out where everything was. We were upgraded to a beautiful room with the most stunning view of the snow-capped mountains that were picture perfect from the balcony, which could be on a postcard for Lucerne, really. That was one of the true highlights of our stay. The place was sparkling clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of traveling from Asia and America. Overall, our stay at this homestay was perfect. The Menbergs went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and we truly felt like we wer at home. We can't recommend this place highly enough!
