I had the family room and it was separate from the others, upstairs, private and peaceful. You have everything you need to cook, great gas stove, fridge freezer, table and chairs. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows reasonably soft. The WiFi was fast, usually over 30 Mbps and never dropped out during my 5 day stay. Aki supermarket, lots of other shops and restaurants are within 5 minutes walk. It's on a quiet small lane so no noise from traffic..Dogs do bark sometimes, mainly at dusk but never for long, and I certainly wasn't troubled by any dogs or roosters on that side during the night even though I'm a light sleeper. You can't beat the value for money and there are loads of things to do nearby. Yanacocha rescue park and Paseo de los Monos (monkey refuge) were wonderful

The host was very friendly and quick to respond. The place was located in a quiet area close to the city center and el Malecon - where most of the restaurants and bars are. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and very clean. The kitchen had the essential utilities for a comfortable stay.

OMG! This place is absolutely incredible! The bungalow is stunning, the views are magnificent, the grounds are unmatched. Franzi and family are absolutely delightful and we really enjoyed some of the excursions that we did (animal rescue - absolutely incredible work they are doing for the conservation of the land and the animals that live in the jungle; half day jungle trek with Julio - we learned so much about the plants and trees of the forest, dunking in the natural waterslides was a bonus, cocao tour). We ordered a breakfast basket each morning which was out of this world and also a dinner one night which was great! The food was homemade and from the land, it was delicious!
