Used this as a basecamp for my wilderness excursions in the region. Was really worth it, the apartment is very basic but has everything you need. You can cook in a small kitchen with microwave and fridge, have a comfy bed, a table and a sofa and the bathroom is nice as well. The breakfast buffet is also well worth it and you should take it. There is a small shop and outdoor excursions and rentals in the main building, as well as a restaurant, where you can have decent food. The information the staff provides is always top notch and I would always choose this place again for a trip to the region. I can furthermore totally recommend their excursions and their ferry service to Linnansaari.

The hosts were extremely helpful and turned on the sauna just for me as soon as I arrived, which was great, as it was my first experience with a sauna in Finland and it couldn't have been more perfect! The location is simply beautiful! Ten steps from the lake, super comfortable and clean cottage. You can use the canoes to explore the lake. Absolutely premium location. The view is unrealistically beautiful. The pier area is very nice. You can tie the boat to the pier and sail whenever you want. The terrace area is very nice for eating, drinking, and enjoying the true Karelian nature. The sauna is heated using logs, and its unforgettable experience, combined with cooling down in the Saimaa lake accessible directly from the pier. There are only a few houses around. So, basically, only you and nature around, most of the time. Linnansaari national park is 20 min drive from the property, and it’s a beautiful place to spend one day hiking and sailing.
