Beautiful house and facilities, fantastic pool and terraces

We had a fantastic week in the villa. The property was well-equipped, very clean and has amazing views from the two balconies at the back. We enjoyed really the swimming pool. The Amari region is spectacular, yet it is fairly quiet and ideal for people who are not keen on the hustle and bustle of the tourist resorts. There are a number of friendly tavernas in the neighbouring villages and it was lovely eating authentic Cretan food. Upon arrival, our host had left some organic vegetables and eggs in the fridge, as well as some wine and olive oil from her own olive trees. It was lovely to stay in a property that is well-looked after by such a friendly and generous host. We had a great time in Aposeti Villas. Thank you very much!

We had the whole house to ourselves, equipped with everything we needed. We felt like authentic Cretans for a few days. The owner was very kind and helpful! It was especially nice that there was a washing machine. The place is spacious and super clean. It was a great experience to visit the many potters in the village. Highly recommended accommodation!

We loved EVERYTHING. Large lovely spotlessly clean house, with lots of character, plenty of space, inside and out- we were a group of 8 and didn’t feel like we were on top of one another. We stayed for 11 nights, the house was cleaned every 4 days, including change of bed linen and towels(wow, I’ve never had it in a private house!). Pool was gorgeous , and it was cleaned regularly. There is a BBQ by the pool- we used it a couple of times, very nice!The kitchen had everything that you can think of- air fryer, ice crusher etc:) beds were super comfy, I’m a bad sleeper but I slept like a log every night. The owner was very helpful and responsive, welcomed us with some lovely Cretan honey, olive oil, jam etc, and made suggestions for visiting the area. Area- small village well known for handmade ceramics( we bought a lot!) , with a few tavernas, supermarkets and bakery all within max 5 mins walk. It was quiet when we were there end of June, busier during the day as tourist groups came every day for a day trip. Car is needed to go around and visit places. We visited a few beaches, the closest sandy one we could find was 30mins away- we didn’t mind, the scenery is beautiful.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mithonies Villa in Margarites, Crete, and I can confidently say it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had at a vacation rental. The villa is perfectly situated in the charming village of Margarites, with all amenities within walking distance. The location was idyllic, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to everything we needed. The accommodations were extremely comfortable, providing ample space and cozy furniture and beds, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. The garden was beautiful and expansive, filled with fruit trees that added a delightful touch. There were multiple great seating locations throughout the garden, allowing us to enjoy the outdoors in various settings. The BBQ area was fantastic, and we made good use of it during our stay. The pool was a highlight, providing a refreshing escape from the warm Cretan sun. The view from the villa was the best I’ve ever had from any vacation rental, offering stunning vistas that we enjoyed daily. The villa exuded charm with its traditional Cretan design and thoughtful touches. It had everything we needed to feel at home, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The villa was spotless, demonstrating a high standard of cleanliness, and it was well-equipped with all the essentials, from kitchen facilities to Wi-Fi. While the Wi-Fi was okay, the connectivity could have been better. However, this minor inconvenience didn't detract from our overall experience. Mithonies Villa provided an exceptional stay with its beautiful setting, comfortable accommodations, and excellent amenities. It offered great value for the price, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable vacation in Crete.

The villa is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The outdoor areas, including the private pool, BBQ area and table tennis, were a great bonus and made it perfect for spending time together. The view is stunning, and the location is wonderfully peaceful and quiet. Everything was very well maintained and exceptionally clean, with great attention to detail throughout the property. A special mention goes to the hosts, who were incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive. They made us feel very comfortable and were always happy to help with anything we needed.

Very spacious and well arranged accommodation. Very well equipped,good and modern bathrooms, powerful showers. Lovely well maintained pool. Efficient and spacious fridge. Lovely little village, great views from terrace, very peaceful... Christos (Crete Rooms) was very attentive and friendly through messages, very clear instructions re access etc Not far from Rethymo and other beaches/coastal towns and other good places to visit (by car).

Lotusland is simply wonderful. The house is very well restored, spacious, fully equipped. The furniture is also very nice, there are no useless things and the decorations are distributed with care and taste. The yard is just perfect, with the table and benches under the grapewine, the space for the sunbeds, the swimming pool which is in optimal position (always under the sun) with a pleasant view towards the mountains. There is also a terrace to enjoy an open view of the beautiful surroundings and of the sky full of stars in the night. The communication with the host, Kostas, was very simple and efficient. He was also very flexible and helpful when we asked for something. We are quite demanding normally, as for cleanliness and quality of the spaces, but Lotusland just fulfilled all our possible expectations and needs and there was nothing extra we would have wanted once we stayed there. The position within the village is also good, since you can just have a walk through the tiny streets to reach the main points of interest. We can recommend this place to anyone who appreciate a quiet stay, a beautiful landscape in the nature, a simple but very well designed interior, with contemporary comforts and at the same time the warmth of traditional details.

We truly enjoyed our stay , The apartment was cozy, clean, and had a lovely traditional character that made the experience feel special. It was well-equipped and had everything we needed for a smooth stay. The highlight for us was the relaxing environment perfect for unwinding. A special mention goes to Michalis, who was an exceptional host very friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. His warm hospitality really made our stay even more enjoyable. It’s a great option for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with authentic charm.

We loved the large amount of spaces to relax - bbq area, pool area, lounge room, all with incredible views! We were able to make this place a home away from home as it had everything you would find in your own house. With a car you have great access to all sides of the island as you are pretty much in the middle of Crete.

I cannot say enough about this property. We were greeted by the housekeeper and shown into the most beautifully restored villa. The dining table and fridge were laden with local produce for us to sample. If we wanted we could have her cook meals from a menu provided. Manolis our host came and introduced himself when he was back in the village and he had gone out of his way to provide us with information about the area and what sites we might want to see, hikes we could do do as well as local amenities all before we had arrived. The peacefulness of the village, the sound of the goats being herded over the hills, this place is truely exceptional. We had a family of eight stay here and there was plenty of room for everyone.

Truly exceptional hospitality! Kostis and his family welcomed us warmly and treated us to local products. He also gave us great recommendations for nearby places and restaurants, all of which were excellent. The overall care and attention to our experience went far beyond the beautiful and spacious house itself.

The host was very nice. The location is great, it's between the mountains. The kitchen is fully equipped, the rooms are nice, the bathrooms impeccable. The house is recently renovated with a lot of good taste. The location is great at night when the sounds of nature takes over.
