Location was fantastic. The big thing about Bacalar is having access to the water and this place is right on the water! Kayaks were amazing to travel On and see all the sights, saving big tour costs!

The coolest and modern hostel I've ever stayed at. The staff was very helpful and spoke perfect English. Love the art on the walls, the hammocks, the pool, and the huge kitchen upstairs. The beds are super comfy with curtains and electrical outlets. The shower had hot water. It's not a party hostel. It's easy to meet other travelers and it's calm and clean. I would definitely stay here again! Note. Do the lake tour!!! One of the best experiences on my trip in Mexico.

Rosie was amazing! She took such good care of us and was an amazing cook. She entertained our terrible Spanish and told us all about life in Balacar. She's a really special person. The lodging was great, too. We had a bunch of small kids and having a pool and enclosed space for them to play was great. Air con in each room was great for the steamy summer.
