Self Catering Accommodation in Moshi

Tldr: I couldnt have found a better place than Mkoani Homestay as a female traveler doing the first solo trip + a surprise birthday cake. And I will stay here everytime I visit Moshi from now on. - Amazing, warm and welcoming people, Darlie, Flora and girls will just make you feel like hone. Even the guests staying here were so nice - great location (quiet and green neighborhood, 5-10 min walking distance from two best cafes in town) - clean and comfortable rooms - beautiful interior and yard/garden with cutest cottages - delicious full breakfast - everyone ready to support you with whatever you night need, from 5 am check-in to adapter to drinking water to getting a taxi/bajaj to town to help with laundry or leaving your luggage here P.s. I accidentally mentioned it was my birthday in a week. And guess what I found when I came back after 8 days from Kilimanjaro trek? A birthday cake and the whole staff singing happy birthday to me. That was the sweetest sweeetest thing ever and I'll never forget it. Thank you everyone!

The place is beautiful and clean. The breakfast is good and in decent quantities. Patricia is kind, attentive and full of funny life stories. What else do you need? Awesome value for money.

Yard is beautiful and you can hang out with your friends at bonefire or hammocks. Peter is so helpful and friendly, he was helping me with everything. Rooms are nice and clean. Location is perfect, quiet but still close to town. Breakfast is fresh and there was lot of options.

the hosts were excellent and the accommodation was spacious and clean. The location was away from the city centre, but Bolt taxis were easily ordered. The only issue was on Google maps the address was slightly off, and at night was difficult to find.

It looks exactly like the photos - very clean, everything is newly furnished, super comfortable bed and the pool is amazing. This was the perfect stay after summiting Kilimanjaro, and you get the mountain view straight from the bed! Outdoor shower & swing was a treat. The food is delicious, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner all freshly made by the chef, and very attentive and responsive team with Tinah! Highly recommend this to anyone staying in Moshi - fantastic value for money compared to other hotels in the area.

I had a really nice stay at Faraja Homestay. She even helped me to get a bus ticket to Lushoto. The breakfast every morning was delicious and plenty. The room and bathroom was clean and the house located in the city center.

The rooms where specious, hot shower and really clean! The area is also really nice. Mama Thea and others where welcoming and open for a chat. Breakfast was also really good! We would recommend a stay here!

We had a great stay at Barazani Garden House. The property is large, modern and well organised. Our room had an ensuite toilet and bathroom which vere very clean and well presented. We had a good sleep on a comfortable.mattress. It was helpful to have a washing machine. We enjoyed chilling on the large terrace and in the evening the staff lit up a fire for us and an onsite chef cooked us a delicious meal of fried bananas and meat. The area is close to town centre and is quiet and relaxed. I would recommend the property to anyone who is looking for a good value place to recharge from all the hustle and bustle of travel in Africa.

Great time spent in Sophie's Homestay. They treated us like their own family. Special mention to Simon and JJ! We had the most delicious fruit for breakfast and her recommendations were top notch, really a great experience to live the kindness and good vibe of Tanzanian people. Highly recommended!

Lovely staff that run the hostel and thoughtful decor throughout. Amenities and the room were clean and breakfast was delicious. Located in a nice quiet area do you can get a good nights rest.
