Self-Catering Accommodations in New York

We stayed at Placemaker Wall Street for four nights, and it was truly one of the best choices we could have made, especially while traveling with our nine-month-old baby. The room felt like a compact one-bedroom apartment—extremely functional, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. It had a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave, plenty of storage, lots of plug points, a cozy bed, a sofa, and even a pull-down wall bed if needed. The heating worked perfectly, and the view of the East River was stunning. The location is exceptional. Within a short walk, you can reach a pier with amazing views of Brooklyn & Manhattan Bridges, the 9/11 Memorial itself, Wall Street, the NYSE, and the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. The subway is also just five minutes away. There’s a great bagel shop right on the ground floor, and the hotel’s reception area and 7th-floor gym are lovely. Overall, our stay was comfortable, convenient, and ideal for families. We would happily choose Placemaker again on our next visit to New York City.

The staff were so sweet. Great location!

Room: we LOVED the little kitchenette (with fridge, freezer and microwave) - it makes a tremendous difference to a trip (al those left over restaurant food - NOT going to waste and being able to have hot milk with your first morning coffee). Location: what a PLEASANT SURPRISE, it was even more central than we thought (coming from South Africa and first time in NYC)!!!! This (AND the Room Kitchenette) will make us come back to this hotel over and over again. Breakfast: great system (self serve) and fantastic range - we loved the 'instructions' at the oatmeal station and the beautiful variety of food, fruit, snacks, bread, drinks...I can go on and on! WE ARE FANS!

The staff, the comfort of the beds and of the rooms along with a super location!

Great hotel, nice staff, excellent location in Williamsburg, very close to Bedford station (1 stop form manhattan) Rooms were comfortable, large and cleaned everyday. Fresh coffee everyday to brew in your room or ready at reception and cold water available at all times. Did not get a chance to try out “Eñ Nico” restaurant on the top floor, but the view was amazing. Would absolutely recommend.

A great place to stay in every way. The owner was very friendly before, during, and after our stay, always available and helpful. The apartment had everything you need for a pleasant stay. We felt very comfortable and if we are back in the city, we would love to come back.

Location, breakfast, service, cleaning

Everything was great here. We got lucky and found a last-minute deal, so the value and quality were really worth it. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the main central attractions. The room we got (two beds) was spacious and the beds were very comfortable, as was everything else. The staff we came across were kind and assisted with any need we had. Definitely would come back here and would recommend it.

Excellent location, good service, gentle receptionist. Complimentary coffee, water, cookies were available and it was great!. Everything and everybody were at reach. Bathroom included everything needed, it wasn´t necessary to buy shampoo, moisturizer, etc..

Wry spacious room for Manhattan at a very good value. There is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you might need. You can do laundry in the building for free.

Staff, location, coziness, breakfast

Celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday. She chose this hotel online. We were totally surprised at the huge room. Friendly and accommodating staff. Clean. Location was in walking distance to many attractions. Very close to Statue of Liberty boat tour. Lots of restaurants in the area. Malt house across the street from hotel had Great food. Great shopping nearby. Could not pick a better hotel. Breakfast at hotel was very good. Availability of transportation from hotel to airport was a plus. Love our stay in New York.

No breakfast. Brought back take out. Typically better than hotel breakfasts.
