Self Catering Accommodation in Volcano

Really quirky rooms, loved it ! Location: 5 min drive to the entrance of the Volcano park..( we were so lucky to catch an eruption ! ) Short drive to store. Hardly any restaurants ,Kilauea Lodge, a Thai restaurant and Volcano Lodge that is about it! Room: Very nice comfy, clean, microwave, coffee machine, small fridge. We brought our breakfast with us. Decor particularly in the bathroom is quirky ,large shower nice soft towels, toiletries, hairdryer.

We absolutely loved our stay here, especially because we were visiting for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, we could tell how much thought and care had been put into making guests feel comfortable. There was an amazing selection of little things available throughout the accomodation. The coffee station was fantastic, with a proper coffee machine and different creamers, including caramel, vanilla, regular creamer, and even fresh cream from the fridge. There were also sturdy takeaway cups, which made it so easy to take our coffee with us when heading out for the day. The bathroom was incredibly well equipped too — from all the usual essentials to things like feminine hygiene products and disposable makeup-removing wipes. There was even an extra plug-in heater that we could use if we ever felt cold after a shower or bath. We also loved the snack selection, including hot chocolate and popcorn. There were plenty of cozy blankets outside for sitting in the evening, as well as extra blankets in the closet inside. And the bed deserves a special mention — it was honestly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. We slept like babies every night! We also really appreciated the thoughtful details for international guests, such as the outlets with USB ports. Overall, this place felt incredibly welcoming, cozy, and thoughtful. It’s clear that the hosts genuinely care about their guests, and all those small touches made our stay feel extra special. We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved everything about this place. The owners were very kind when chatting and everything went smooth. It was a self-check in which we loved. The hot tub was AMAZING. The apartment really felt like home during our stay!

The house is in the forest, the room is big, and there are a lot of fruits prepared every day. If I have the chance, I will live there again.

Great place to stay at and way above the expectations! Very clean and tidy, a lot of space inside the house, very comfortable beds, well-designed kitchen and even a washing machine outdoors! Exceptional location - short drive to Volcanoes national park and Hilo. Excellent prompt communication. Highly recommend for stay near volcanoes.

We loved everything about the accomodation. The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. The property is perfectly located for the Volcano National Park and for all other things to do in the area. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast served to the room was just great.

Beautiful location and host went out of their way to assist with a situation we experienced last minute.

The property owner is reasonable and attentive. Room has internet and is 2 minutes from to Volcano Village which has a gas station, restaurant, hardware store and laundromat. I had a few small bumps but; owner responds to text quickly and was able to assist and resolve the issues quickly. Property is 1 mile from Volcano National Park and about 40 minutes from Hilo. Centrally located near Black Sand Beach and Southernmost Point. Drive from Kona Airport was scenic and roads are well kept and easy to drive on. Property was well kept and clean. I would definitely stay at this property again or any property owned by this lady.

Great location. House is a bit old but Very spacious, with good sitting places inside and outside.

Absolutely beautiful plantation house and garden. We could feel the history of the house and the loving care of the owners. Location was wonderful. Right in heart of Volcano and 5 mins from Volcano National Park, meaning we could go to the park for sunrise, get breakfast in the Sunday market and go back into the park later for a whole day.

Perfect location and right amount of space for us. Owner was easy to connect with and kind. Had everything we needed. You could tell they wanted guests to be comfortable, anticipated needs.

Met a very nice service minded host in a quite nice place in very short distance to a major tourist place , the Volcano and Volcano house.

Really nice cosy and clean home near Volcanoes National Park! Because it was convenient to the park, we were able to go in and out of the park several times (e.g. morning hike, evening hike, and then at night to see the Kilauea) while taking breaks in between which is great (especially with kids) due to the mid-day heat and crowds. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the cupboard with some board games.

Clean, good value, spacious, everything you could need for a short term rental. Great location next to the National Park.
