The location was great, with the beach only a 5 minute walk away. It is also near the heart of broadbeach where one can find food and supermarkets. The unit was well-furnished, and well-maintained. Staff were very much accommodating.

I like the hotel because it was very beautiful and clean and also 😍 bus and train station was very near

Whitsunday Sands Resort asub ainulaadsel asukohal privaatsel poolsaarel Suure Vallrahu türkiissinise vee ääres. Külalised saavad privaatselt kasutada kahte eraldi imelist randa. An outstanding place to stay sandwiched between two attractive beaches on the outskirts of Bowen. Our upstairs unit was spacious and clean and had fabulous views from the valcony out over the well kept grounds to the ocean. We self catered, but the motel has a bar and there is a restaurant down by one of the beaches which is open on certain days of the week. I understand there is also a Thai restaurant nearby which opens at weekends. We enjoyed the circular walk up to the radar station lookout and clambering over the rocks to a couple more secuded coves. There is also a swimming pool sensibly situated to the side of the building we were in. Reception was friendly and efficient, and we appreciated the on site laundry.

Lovely design and very comfortable. We were in a Stables room. Took 'The Spirit of the Outback' overnight train from Brisbane with my husband and 11 year old and after 26 hours we could have kept going. Too hot to go to Uluru and this was a great alternative to see a bit of the Outback. Saltbush Retreat was a very welcome oasis in the extreme heat (well, extreme for me :-) Picked this hotel for its location (across street from the 2 museums and airport) and for the outdoor bathtubs but the museums were closed for the holidays and I never got in the bathtub so what I really remember is a huge clean cool room and absolutely fantastic staff. Ron gave us a little drive around tour of town as the museums were closed and a lovely lady dropped us at the airport. Monica is the local taxi lady. AUD$15 to get from town back to Saltbush.

Debbie's Place is 150 meters from the Great Sandy National Park and 500 meters from Rainbow Beach. Debbie's is a great spot for a couple's getaway prior to or returning from your K'gari adventures. Near stores and places to eat or buy groceries. This is a beautiful, clean, quiet place to stay with amazing hosts.
