The good vibes here started immediately upon our arrival. Xinia, the host, lives separately on the property so she was there to greet my sister and I upon arrival. It was easy to get the keys for our casitas and Xinia was a gracious hostess, who showed us all we needed to know about the property and also offered her services for transportation. The casitas were comfortable and clean, and the kitchens were supplied with everything we needed. We only used the internet for use of Netflix and phones, but it was great for our needs. This property is a walkable distance outside the town of Cahuita, which made it perfect for us to be able to relax and enjoy the abundant nature around, without the noise of a town or parties. I enjoyed my morning coffee listening to the sounds of the howler monkeys that can be seen in the neighboring trees, watching and listening to keel-billed and chestnut-mandibled toucans as well as collared aracaris, seeing Montezuma Oropendolas flying about and calling their distinctive call, watching grey necked wood rails and agoutis running through the property, and enjoying the numerous other birds that the gardens of the property attract. Xinia was easy to contact when we needed her or had questions, and was exceptionally available when we asked her to provide transportation to Cahuita or neighboring towns. She speaks very good English and charged for services a very comparable fee to other providers. She also is extremely knowledgeable about the area and is very happy to share the culture and customs of this part of Costa Rica with you. Xinia owns two dogs, Lito and Gucci, who are both loving and sweet. If you are missing a pet of your own, they are wonderful companions who will appreciate your attention, but Xinia also will respect your preference if dogs aren't your "thing." She can also act as a concierge to coordinate trips and tours for you.

Casas Del Mar is the best place to stay in Manzanillo. This was our second time there with our three kids. Just a few steps away from the beach. Everything you need is right there. It’s very relaxing and easy to enjoy the Caribbean vibes. Pura Vida.

Friendly staff, clean property and great location.

The property is Big & Lush w/ Trails, Beautiful pool, Great tiki bar, Howler monkeys, birds, butterflies... Being 1 with Nature All day/Every day. The Staff was Lovely,, Friendly & Accomodating. I'll be back & Highly Recommend ♥️

It was the most beautiful stay I had during my 1.5 months in Costa Rica. Chiara and Ray are truly wonderful people. Whenever I return to Costa Rica, I’ll definitely stay with them again!

The view from here is spectacular. We were able to drive all the way up. The restaurant and the bottom of the hill Apache was really great. Perfect spot to stay for a night before going rafting with pacuare river lodge (which is also amazing)

The property was in a great area right in town. It was very spacious and super accommodating. Great AC and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Large house. Very well kept with everything you might need. Easy to check in / out. Nice balcony. Situated close to the center of the town and on top of a small bakery with very friendly staff.

Loved it. The owner, Stella, is amazing and the other staff is great too.They do everything that they can to make your stay as pleasurable as it can be. Really good location, in town but not in the center so it is very quiet. Loved the jungle feel on the property, and the pool was so nice. I was traveling for months all over Costa Rica and stayed at many hotels, and this one is one of my favorites. Clean, big rooms with kitchen 👌🏻
