The farm and surrounding fjord and landscape was amazing - I really wasn’t expecting it. Very beautiful to wander around that evening and on the morning. Facilities were good and they even had filter coffee and tea available.

This hostel is located on Berunes farm by the Ring Road and is 45 km from the village of Djúpivogur. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges. Free WiFi is available. Very nice hotel on the coast of fjord. I guess it used to be a farm that later converted in a accomodation place. Now it still keep vintage place charm. We stopped in the family studio, that have a two floors and fully equipped kitchen. View was amazing.

Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses in Egilsstadir provides adults-only accommodation with a private beach area and a garden. The tiny house was so adorable and cozy! It was super clean and had everything we needed (we also enjoyed the cookies & wine they gave us). We’ll definitely be back for a longer stay!

Undiraldan - Steinholt, old music school is situated in Seyðisfjörður. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 3.8 km from Gufufoss. Gem in East - small town with harbor and history, hiking tracks, restaurants plus excellent place to stay. Spacious and well equipped place, where our family would have wanted to stay for longer. Furniture and interior design was so nice, cosy and all details seemed to be considered to be suitable for this area.

Set in Egilsstadir, 5.9 km from Hengifoss, Hengifosslodge Skáldahús has a private beach area, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. Very confy room with a great view, perfect if you plan to visit Hengifoss and/or the Vok baths. The kitchen was perfect and everything was extremely clean.

Offering a garden and garden view, Greystone summerhouse is located in Egilsstadir, 37 km from Hengifoss and 22 km from Gufufoss. Very beautiful cottage very well furnished.

Skipalaekur Farm Apartments has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Egilsstadir, 32 km from Hengifoss. The accommodation looks really nice and cozy; the kitchen is very well equipped (toaster, dishwasher, stove, water heater) Heated floor is a very nice touch. Self check was another thing that we really appreciated.

Featuring river views, Hjartarstaðir Guesthouse offers accommodation with patio, around 37 km from Gufufoss. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay.... Amazing remote location, not far from the town Eglisstadir, the hosts were really helpful, it was clean and comfortable. We saw the Northern Lights that night at the guesthouse and it was really beautiful experience. I recommend this guesthouse for everyone who is traveling on the east side of Iceland.

Absolutely the best of all accomodations we've had during our Ring Road tour. The cottage was absolutely stunning and cozy, with all amenities a guest would need. The surrounding area was gorgeous and the hosts were extremely accommodating, even going as far as lending us duct tape to fix a pair of our boots.

Boasting lake views, Finnsstaðir Holiday Home with Hot tub offers accommodation with an open-air bath and a patio, around 40 km from Hengifoss. we loved it! we felt like coming to visit grandma's old charming house in the farm.
