Situated in Selfoss, 35 km from Ljosifoss, Ásahraun Guesthouse features accommodation with free WiFi, a garden with a terrace, and access to a hot tub. What an experience staying in two lovely quaint barrels. So unique. We love finding different places to stay. It was so warm and cozy inside the barrels with a lovely bathroom, and the outside shower room was spacious and very warm too, with lovely fluffy gowns. We had the place to ourselves so we didn't share the shower room. Sùsannah was so welcoming and responsive online. Such friendly dogs, and a brief sighting of the cat. And what a treat to sit in a hot tub under the stars looking at the Northern Lights when it was freezing outside! Our teenage just girls loved it! Wish we could've stayed longer.

Mosas cottages is set in Fludir, within 33 km of Geysir and 43 km of Gullfoss Waterfall. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. We loved simply everything! The host was always responsive before and after check-in and made sure we had everything upfront (information how to get there, how to open the door, how to use the hot tub etc.). The cottages are located outside the big cities and we were lucky to get a glimpse of the northern lights (even though not too bright because of clouds). We hadn`t had the time to use the hot tubs unfortunately, but they looks super clean and well-maintained. If I ever have the chance to come back to this area, I will definitely stay here! Thank you!
