A recently renovated property, A Ridosso dei Sassi is set in Matera near Matera Cathedral, MUSMA Museum and Tramontano Castle. There was nothing to complain about. We were satisfied with everything. As we travelled during the low season, we paid a little (in comparison with July-August in Italy). And we got a great location, plenty of space, comfortable beds, cleanliness, and a full kitchen equipment

Everything was really great, Sergio is very kind and helpful, he explained everything to us, and he picked up us from and to the station, we had really amazing holidays, I recommend this accomodation to everyone. It’s spacious, clean and comfortable within walking distance to the city centre. The host is very nice and allowed us place the luggage in the apartment before check in time. She herself did the cleaning thoroughly. The apartment is well equipped and allows us place the utensils are in good quality.

Situated in Muro Lucano, 46 km from National Archaeological Museum, Nonna Felicia B&B features rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. This is the BEST experience I’ve ever had when using any accommodation booking service. Despite being a small hillside town in southern Italy, it hid a large warm and welcoming community. Highlighted by our incredible host and apartment. Firstly, the apartment was stocked with more snacks, drinks and food than I’ve very seen in any hotel or Airbnb. This even included food for people with food tolerance issues. Secondly, we were welcomed by our host who explained everything clearly, showed us where extra things where if we needed and even gave us an overview of the town and some recommendations on where to eat. Lastly, the host could not have been more helpful! When she heard that we had come to Muro Lucano to explore our family history she reached out and asked if we’d like a local guide, helped with a driver to help navigate the hilly town with my aunt who had run into some knee trouble (unrelated to Muro Lucano or our stay here). The view from the hilltop apartment was so incredible and the apartment itself was impeccably clean. As stated before, it had absolutely everything you could want or need. The inclusion of air conditioning and smart TVs that had all the apps and services you’d normally use was very much a nice touch for a home away from home. There is really nothing that needs improving with this stay. It is faultless and my family and I will have such incredible memories for life now, thanks to this perfect apartment and a host that exceeded all our expectations.
